You all have some sort of head trauma or orthopedic issue. That's the beauty of never having been in the ring. Bill and I are still witty, spry, and coherent. And we never farted on anyone's hands.

BTW, this is our Homecoming game next weekend vs Nova. My senior team is getting inducted to the HOF as a Team of Distinction and my roommate is getting inducted individually. If we beat UNH and Nova, I would recommend buying your tickets early. They have already moved the band into temp bleachers in the endzone and I've heard talk of more temp bleachers behind the student and visitor sections.

ODU fans don't travel. We saw that first hand at Newark two years ago. There were three times as many UD fans at ODU in the rain than there were ODU fans at UD on a beautiful, warm, sunny day.

It didn't help in the above photo that Towson came into that game 3-3 and may have very well been losing, as they dropped that game too.

Decent game for JMU. 1st, 2nd, and 4th qtr was all JMU, 40-3 (missed XP and 2 point conversion).

3rd qtr was all Albany- 10-0 (TD, 2 Pt conversion, safety). Have to credit Albany for not quitting. JMU then woke up again 4th qtr.

-Daniel Brown, rJr WR #10, 6'5"/220. 3 catches for 84 yds, 3 TDs. Last yr went down for season 1st play vs WVU. Missed most of summer camp with pulled hammy. Getting better every week and has turned into JMU's go to guy at WR.

-Dae'Quan Scott had 19 carries, 87 yds, 2 TDs. Broke JMU all time scoring record. Now has 59 carreer TDS (rushing, receiving, returns)/234 points.

-True Fr Khalid Abdullah had 12 carries, also 87 yds, 1 TD.

-Birdsong went 18-28, 249, 3 TDs, 0 INT.

-Gage Steele, rFr LB #33, 6'1"/230, received CAA Defensive Rookie of the Week and Sports Network National Freshman of the Week for his 18 tackles vs Albany (13 solo) and 1 sack.

-Conner Arnone, rSo P/PK, received CAA Special Teams player of the week for his long punting and kickoffs.

2 big positives:
-0 turnovers. After 13 in 1st 4 games, only 1 in last 2 games.
-No (major) injuries

Negative is that JMU's kicker has an injured hammy. Last 2 games has missed 2 XP and 2 of 4 on FG. Is struggling and might be replaced. Is a concern with UR next week.

Clark paced Towson with a team-high 11 tackles, including six solo and a sack for a loss of nine yards, as the top-three Tigers turned in another solid defensive showing against UNH. The senior would also force a pair of fumbles, both of which led to touchdowns, for a Towson squad that leads the league with a +5 turnover margin and limited the Wildcats to just eight points over the final three quarters on Saturday.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Conner Arnone, Soph., P/PK, James Madison
Arnone had a stellar all-around day in the Dukes’ win over UAlbany, finishing with a 49.5-yard punt average on four punts that included a career-long 65-yarder. The sophomore also averaged 60.8 yards on eight kickoffs that featured three touchbacks in a special teams effort that forced the Great Danes to on average begin drives from their 27-yard line.

Rookie of the Week: Gage Steele, R-Fr., LB, James Madison
Steele broke open for a career day against the Great Danes, turning in an 18-tackle effort that leads the league through the opening six weeks of the season. The rookie racked up 13 solo stops and one sack in JMU’s dominant win, with four of his tackles ending Dane drives. Steele’s showing highlighted a defensive unit that held UAlbany to just 81 rushing yards and five of 19 third-down conversions on Saturday.

What is it with West versus New Hampshire? The junior back has torched the Wildcats three times in his collegiate career, and this past Saturday's 44-28 Towson win was certainly no exception. West carried the ball 28 times for 238 yards - his highest yardage total this season - and three touchdowns. West now has 15 rushing touchdowns this season and a total of 59 career scores, which ranks fifth in CAA Football history. West moved into second in Towson's program history with 3,226 career rushing yards.

When it comes to James Madison linebackers, the first name that typically comes to mind is senior Stephon Robertson's. But Steele broke free against Albany with an 18-tackle effort - the highest single-game total in the CAA this season. Steele recorded 13 solo stops and a sack in JMU's 40-13 win. Steele and the Dukes held the Great Danes' fierce rushing attack to a mere 81 yards, and 5-for-19 third-down efficiency.

Not to take anything away from Towson and JMU player accomplishments......but I find it hard to believe that Maine had no one considered after thrashing a then Top 25 opponent in Delaware....???? I know that Delaware ain't all that......but neither is UNH and Albany. Oh well.......as long as we keep winning.
