No shit, everyone knows cats are SE's animal of choice. Much better 'fit' for him than sheep.

I'm borderline 4-3/3-4. I was kinda wishy-washy about the Sac-WSU game....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

2-5, 34-15 for the year. Someone say "parity"?JALMOND wrote:Thought I'd get these out right away due to the conference game on Thursday. I am currently sitting at 32-10, missing 2 games last week. Here is hoping for perfection this week, something that may be difficult due to the parity that is evident in the conference this year. All conference teams are in action with Eastern Washington the only team not playing a conference foe. Here they are.
CP at PSU---Interesting opener for the conference itself and for these two teams. The Mustangs took last week off so they have had an extra week to get ready. The Vikings are on a short week having come home with a win last week at UC-Davis. The return of Tim Walsh to Portland showcases two high powered offenses against two marginal defenses. Should be fun...PSU 37, CP 31.
EWU at Sam Houston State---One of the more exciting games to watch in the country. The Eagles took last week off after their second FBS game. Now they get back in the swing of things, going down to the heart of Texas to play Sam Houston State, continuing their killer schedule. Can they keep their strong start going on to the start of conference play next week?...EWU 31, Sam Houston State 27.
ISU at UCD---The fight for the basement, although both the Bengals and the Aggies are hopeful they will be out of the cellar by the end of the year. The Bengals got thumped last week at Washington while the Aggies were literally "thundered" out of their home by Portland State. The winner keeps their dream alive, the loser may end up staying there...UCD 17, ISU 14.
UM at NAU---The Grizzlies get ready for their conference season by putting away DII Panhandle State last week, while the Lumberjacks were trying to get by South Dakota. The Grizzlies seem to be firing on all cylinders right now while the Lumberjacks seem to be unable to find a passing game to compliment their running game. They will need something in this game...UM 42, NAU 14.
MSU at UND---The Bobcats problems on offense can be dismissed with the loss of their star quarterback, but the injuries on defense seem to be pretty big in itself. Last week they gave up 52 points to Stephen F Austin, who lost earlier in the year to Weber State. The former Sioux had last week off after getting shelled by Montana the week before. No shelling here...UND 38, MSU 28.
Sac State at WSU---The Hornets recovered nicely from their overtime debacle against Southern Oregon to force overtime last week at home against a good Southern Utah. The Wildcats headed out to McNeese State and came back with a loss. The thing about this game is the Hornets are not FBS and they are not a really good FCS team...WSU 27, Sac State 24.
SUU at UNC---The Thunderbirds saw their attempt at an "easy" game almost get away from them as they needed overtime to get by Sacramento State. The Bears actually gave Northern Iowa a good tussle in a game that was closer than it should have been. Even with those outcomes last week, this week should be no problem for the Thunderbirds...SUU 31, UNC 24.
Just when I think I have it all figured out, something happens to show me I have no idea what I am doing.
