Well....you guys beat them at App last year, by a good margin. And CSU just beat you guys at your house. So.......may be closer than you think. Or are you still sore from that home loss that cost the cadets a night of leave

Sorry man, some Citadel folks have really been sore losers about the CSU game. Had to rub it in a bit!!!

I predict App St 31, CSU 21.
If your team is looking at this game as a "we beat The Citadel this year, they beat App last year, ergo we have a snowball's chance in Boone" kind of thing, then they're in big trouble. The team CSU beat in the season opener is in no way even remotely like the one that beat ASU last year.

The best thing that has come out of the CSU and Wofford losses is that our staff has realized that one offensive scheme works a lot better than 5. See you guys next time.
Oh no, I don't think the team is looking at it that way. Just beating a SoCon team makes the team believe they can compete, an maybe win, against other SoCon teams. And seeing teams like Citadel and Wofford, who have gone into Boone and pulled out wins, just makes us think that while App is a man-for-man better team than CSU, its not over the top so much better that if we play near-perfect and they make a few mistakes that we can't pull a win out also.

You're right about The Citadel. The option is great and all, but you cant flip flop to other schemes mid-game. Gotta commit to it like Wofford has for 20 years.

CSU is now....what....2-5 vs The Citadel? I was there for the 2005 game, when CSU was up 2 scores late and blew it. Don't worry, we still know you guys are a better program than us overall........but I doubt people in Charleston will keep assuming CSU v Citadel is a game not even worth watching (Iike the first meetings in 02, 03 were).

Im curious to see what Higgins does next year with that great QB Dupree graduating.

We have Aaron Miller, who already shares about 40% of the snaps with Ben, and he throws better. In fact, he may have actually been the starter in our game with CSU. We aren't worried about our backfield; we are loaded there. It is our OL we need to replace. That said, we subbed in our entire 2nd string OL several time in the ODU game and they blew the Monarchs off the line.

ASU defensive lineman Ronald Blair was arrested early Friday morning on a charge of driving after consuming alcohol underage. Blair, 20, of Greensboro, Ga., was driving on Rivers Street near Stadium Drive just before 3 a.m. Friday (Sept 17th)

So, you're saying you're 6'7"? "Little" wasn't intended to be literal there, Old Guy. Of course, you knew that.

Thanks for posting the article about Blair's arrest a week late. It's nice to see that your petty vendetta against App State for going FBS is still intact. :thumb:

Again, you're a little, bitter man. :ohno:

Exactly. Who walks around saying they are 5'-19". That's as ridiculous as people who say their children are 48 months old. I hate that shit. After 12 months, say 1 year, 2 year,etc... I don't say i'm 1560 months old.

The point being, gentlemen, in a rather ironic way, that I'm not a little anything, and I'm certainly not bitter, as declared by some Chuckle-head from the internets.

Said Chuckle-head, by the way, who seems to be in denial over the last 3 years of on-going Hillbilly criminality, and overly sensitive to a simple statement of fact (albeit dripping with a bit of sarcasm).

Maybe Chuck is just a bit frustrated over that .333 winning percentage. Fair enough. I feel his pain.

But with even more irony: It's the exact same winning percentage the members of the Sun Belt have against the FCS this year, discounting 4 wins over the SWAC and MEAC.

It's almost like ... we belong ... then, huh?

Look, I'm certainly not in denial or overly-sensitive about anything going on at App State, it's all in the open and available for criticism--I've done my fair share. We were all aware of Blair's arrest last week. Feel free to post all of the trespasses of some App players over the past three years, I hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of doing so.

As for you not liking the move to the Sun Belt, I get it and it certainly wasn't my first choice (though the status quo was my least preferable option). And, I certainly don't begrudge posting facts dripping with sarcasm. However, I just decided to respond in kind.

True statement, bud.

I'm sorry, Aho Old Guy. You're a fellow Mountaineer, and I should not have called you out like that. My apologies.

Alright guys, kickoff is less than 18 hours away, its been a fun week of dreaming, now lets see what CSU can do. It's gonna be a huge task. Lets hope for some good bounces of the ball. We're facing one of the most powerful programs in all of 1-AA. We have a shot to put CSU on front pages throughout SC. Not likely....but, that's why we play the games!

Well....crap. I blame you. If you had cheered louder, ASU would have won.
