Ball thrown out the back of the endzone on 4th. down. That probably ices it.
CP has definitely looked like the better-coached outfit tonight.

In 9 quarters of football (5 of which were against FBS teams) he has rushed for 45 times for 265 yards (5.88 yds per carry) and 3 TDs. He has passed for 435 yards and 4 TDs. He had an off night throwing, but rushed for 129 yards tonight. Before tonight he was 20 of 35 for 348 yards and 2 TDs and no picks in 5 quarters against FBS defenses (one of which is a top 25 team).AZGrizFan wrote:Man, it is truly frightening how much CP''s QB plays like Trent McKinney.

Didn't Fresno have their twos in at that point?SloStang wrote:In 9 quarters of football (5 of which were against FBS teams) he has rushed for 45 times for 265 yards (5.88 yds per carry) and 3 TDs. Yes, but he forced them to bring the ones back in and he still made some big plays after that. And at the FBS level the two's are full scholarship players unlike the FCS. My point is he has a good arm, he just I'd not show it tonight. Watch the highlights from the Fresno State game where he threw for 186 yards in one quarter.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Didn't Fresno have their twos in at that point?SloStang wrote: In 9 quarters of football (5 of which were against FBS teams) he has rushed for 45 times for 265 yards (5.88 yds per carry) and 3 TDs. Huh? FCS teams have 63 scholarships. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of second-stringers are full scholarship.SloStang wrote:Yes, but he forced them to bring the ones back in and he still made some big plays after that. Our crowd is gonna eat them alive next week.grizcountry420 wrote:Portland St is sloppy... No discipline what so ever.

I'm talking more about his decision-making at critical junctures....like that inexplicable INT he threw, that but for the grace of GOD was turned into ZERO points.SloStang wrote:In 9 quarters of football (5 of which were against FBS teams) he has rushed for 45 times for 265 yards (5.88 yds per carry) and 3 TDs. Most likely the majority of FCS second team players are full scholarship players, but most likely all FBS 2nd team players are. There are about 40 players that are on partial/split scholarship on most FSC rosters. I am sure some of which are on the second team. At the FBS level there are 85 FULL scholarships that can not be split. Most of the third string FBS players are full scholarship players. My point is there should be quality depth on a top 25 FBS team and Brown shredded them and he has a good arm. He just did not show it last night. That happens sometimes with a young first year starter at QB. AZ wants to dump on him after watching one game. My point is also that while he had an off not throwing (he did throw for two TDs), he had a good night running and he led his team to a big win on the road against a good PSU team. AZ is just being his typical self and hating on anything not Montana.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Huh? FCS teams have 63 scholarships. I think that Cal Poly had something to do with that.AZGrizFan wrote:I'm talking more about his decision-making at critical junctures....like that inexplicable INT he threw, that but for the grace of GOD was turned into ZERO points.SloStang wrote: In 9 quarters of football (5 of which were against FBS teams) he has rushed for 45 times for 265 yards (5.88 yds per carry) and 3 TDs. Seriously, PSU looks JUST like the Griz last year...they couldn't get out of their own way when it mattered last night.

it was a good callMvemjsunpx wrote:CP gets a pick at their own 1 after a questionable decision by McDonagh. Still 7-0 Viks.

Really? Don't get me wrong, Slo, I do not look forward to facing Chris Brown and his buddies, but PSU's issues were't caused by Cal Poly.SloStang wrote:I think that Cal Poly had something to do with that.AZGrizFan wrote:

Fair enough AZ. I think as he takes more snaps he will continue to grow as a QB. He has the physical tools to be special.AZGrizFan wrote:Why you son-of-a....SloStang wrote:Most likely the majority of FCS second team players are full scholarship players, but most likely all FBS 2nd team players are. You KNOW CP is my second favorite team AND location to watch BSC football.![]()

And with Brown, you've made my point exactly. "THAT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WITH A YOUNG FIRST YEAR STARTER"...just like McKinney last year. Flashes of brilliance with moments that will just leave you shaking your head.
