Re: Great article on Chuck Souths Malcom Dixon
Yes it is a very good article. It really puts his growth and progression as a QB and now a QB and Team Captain into perspective. I'll be the first to admit, I was never sold on his ability to QB and to lead the team. I questioned his talent and also his ability to execute an offense.
I believe I was justified over the past could of years, but I also realize it may not (and probably wasn't all his fault) I am glad that he is proving me wrong in his senior year. He is having a great start to the season.

"This is basically the type of offense I had looked at coming in and playing when I first got here," said Dixon, who played wide receiver as a freshman in 2010 before emerging at quarterback with almost 100 yards rushing a competitive loss at Kentucky. "It's able to show my dual threat ability as far as making reads and running and getting out there on the perimeter, while also being able to throw it. It's been challenging from the standpoint of having to make checks but at the same time, I love the flexibility that Coach Chadwell gives me that if I see something, I can make a check here or there. It's nice to be able to use my instincts as a quarterback."
"I've been playing this game since I was age 7 so now being 21 it definitely adds a little (special meaning to senior season). I'm just glad to still be playing football. This year will probably be the last so I just want to make sure I go out with a bang and also celebrate the last year of college with my teammates. A lot of these guys I've been with since I first got here and they're great guys. We have a great group of guys who love being around each other and would do anything for the brother next to them. I want to enjoy that experience and go out with a bang."
