Where is your proof? Conservatives are always saying he's a socialist or communist but never offer up any proof.

How many people voted for Obama because he told them he would take care of them? I.E. Give them money?

I remember watching a video on the news where a black girl was going to vote for him because he promised her money, and when the newscaster asked her if she knew where the money would come from she said "I dont care where it comes from all I know is Im getting it"

Making the people dependant on the Government, if you tell the people I will get you money, why would they go out and look for jobs? Spreading the wealth will NOT solve the poverty problem. Taking money from those who work for it and then giving it to those who dont.

Obamacare is a government run healthcare plan that forces the people to get health insurance and punishes people who dont by raising the taxes. "An individual mandate requires all individuals not covered by an employer sponsored health plan, Medicaid, Medicare or other public insurance programs (such as Tricare), to secure an approved private-insurance policy or pay a penalty" Nuff said

He's a socialist by forcing people to join in on the capitalist economy? :suspicious:

Like I said, i'm not a fan of "Obushma" Copyright CluckU, 2012 but I think you're reaching. Welfare was here before Obama and it'll be around when the next Republican President takes office.

capitalism refers to an economic system where prices for goods and services are set freely by the forces of supply and demand and are allowed to reach their point of equilibrium without intervention by government policy.

Obamacare is government run.

You dont think that the facts that thanks to the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, the government contributes 72% of the weighted average premium of all plans. Or that Aetna has very recently been known to lobby for the Democratic party has nothing to do with it?

Why are you talking about the Democratic party? I thought this was about socialism? Which is it man!?

But thanks for ignoring the fact that Obama is forcing us all to go to private companies and PAY THEM FOR A PRODUCT. :thumb:

Slightly related, but should students be forced to stand up for the Pledge regardless if they recite it or not? What about the National Anthem? In most districts, you're required to stand for either one.

Shouldn't you be teaching and not playing on the interwebs, or is that next week?

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under Obama, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This country is more divided now than it has ever been since the Civil War :ohno:
That is an interesting statement. I could argue for both sides of this.

On one hand, I could say no because the only thing that has changed in recent years is the more avenues for people to get information from idiots (internet, social media, more news channels, more radio channels, etc.). The extreme opinions have become more "acceptable" to voice (meaning less repercussions), so we see and hear more of them. But I think these feelings have been there all along.

On the other hand, I could say that these extreme opinions have fueled a greater divide.

There have been specific issues that may have created a bigger division, but maybe for not as broad a population such as prohibition, unionization, Vietnam War, D1B vs. the Catholic Church, kalm vs. gluten, SE vs. bent brims, etc. Not sure where we stand these days, but something to think about.

This thread delivers!

1) There are like 300 socialist/communists in this country. Obama is not one of them.

2) A true "free market" has never existed

3) Both parties support government intervention in said "free market"
