UNI up 21-14 at the half.

You could've heard a pin drop in the stadium when we went up 21-14.

If UNI pulls this off I'm thinking this might be the best opening weekend ever for I-AA/FCS vs. I-A/FBS games. Even if they don't it might be in the running. Hopefully they'll get it done and close it out.

It's gotta be. This win has to be #6 or 7 for the weekend.

And congrats UNI.

It's gotta be. This win has to be #6 or 7 for the weekend.
Also, in one weekend we've got:

A FCS win over a top 25 FBS (EWU over Oregon State)
Most points ever scored by an FCS against a FBS (53) and largest margin of victory for a FCS over a FBS (32) (McNeese over South Florida).*
Two Big 12 losses to FCS opponents in one weekend (North Dakota State over Kansas State and UNI over Iowa State).
Four wins over BCS automatic bid conference teams (North Dakota State over Kansas State, Towson over UConn, Eastern Washington over Oregon State, McNeese over South Florida).

*At least that's what I'm seeing reported on the McNeese blowout of South Florida.

had it not been for that last fumble at the 1 it would have been 35 to 20

Also gifted them 3 with a fumble

Really was played like it was a35 to 14ish type game

We're now 2 and 2 in our last 4 against isu but have honestly dominated all 4

Accoring to ESPN ...

6.9 avg. on 33 rushing plays with Johnson averaging 8.7 on 23 carries. Kollmorgan 21 of 28 for 218 and no picks. Johnson gets two rushing and two receiving TDs.

Great win by the Panthers. :thumb:

Was fun watching the clone fans start to bail with about 5 minutes left.

It's fun to watch the ISU meltdown.

This was probably the most hyped ISU team in a decade, if not more. Their fans doing their typical "NO WAY A D2 CAN HANG" "WE WIN BY 80" bull shit.

It's like they forget that it took a last second touchdown pass (the WR had his knee in by less than an inch) to win by 1 in 2011. 2010 we out-gained them by over 100 yards, but threw 2 pick 6's, yielding only 1 offensive TD but losing 27-0. 2007 we beat them by 11, and 2006 they lucked out as we missed a 51 yard field goal just a yard to the right as time expired to lose by 1.

Anyway, I thought I'd create a fun little chart to show that UNI has actually be better in almost every aspect of the series since 2006

The meltdown has been a funnier than hell. If only we had only done this and if we had only done that.

My brother has ISU season tickets and we went with him so I was surrounded by Clone fans. The look of fear on their faces when we went up 21-7 was priceless. My brother's seats are in the upper deck at the opposite end of the visitor section. It was so quiet after that TD we could clearly hear the UNI band playing the fight song. If DJ hadn't fumbled on the 1 yd line there wouldn't have been 5,000 fans left by the end of the game.

Many on the message boards are saying this is the worst loss in Coach Rhoads tenure.

I've been there for each of the UNI victories of Iowa St starting in 1992 and they keep getting better and better. :thumb:

Without that fumble on the 1 DJ has 200 yards rushing on 23 carries with 3 rushing tds to go with his 41 receiving yards and 2 td's...and it would have been a 15 point win.

Damn that was fun. It never was as close at the score shows except for about a 7 minute mark in the third.

Highlights....the sad thing is we did lose our top TE to a bad elbow injury. Early reports are dislocated/fractured elbow. The play is in the highlights at about the 55 second mark. It is graphic...arms shouldn't bend that way
