Don't see where anyone called for his death...I'll come back after you post the evidence
Ficken announced special guest "President Obama" at the rodeo.
At one point, he said, "Watch out for that bull, Obama," but otherwise he was not part of the performance, according to Watkins.

It actually didn't wind up being that much of a bug deal to most people, although I'm sure you can pull down some links to right wing websites that could indicate otherwise.
Are you saying this was a big deal, or not?

This guy sums it up nicely
It's a very short article rounding out the stupidity

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

I don't think that's true. For example, here is a quote from the first link:dbackjon wrote:If you half-wits could read/comprehend, the uproar isn't over the mask - it is over the announcers goading for Obama to be killed by a bull.
Clearly that woman's focus was on showing disrespect for the president. Not that I believe she was sincere in that last set of statements about use of taxpayer funds for something that disrespects "our president" being an outrage regardless of who "our president" is.“I think that a hate crime occurred,” Mary Ratliff told KXNT Radio in Las Vegas Thursday. ”I think a hate crime occurs when you use a person’s race to depict who they are and to make degrading comments, gestures, et cetera, against them.”
Ratliff says it’s an outrage that taxpayer dollars were used to disrespect the president.
“We are taxpayers in the state of Missouri,” Ratliff said, “and when taxpayer money is utilized to discredit and be disrespectful to our president, whether he be black, white, Hispanic, Latina… it is an outrage.”

And by the way I've never agreed with that "respect the office" crap. The President is the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. There is no mystical, magical aura about the position. It's just a position. And the person in that position is a public servant, not a ruler. He works for the People rather than visa versa. This stuff about bowing down and burning incense is ridiculous. If you have someone who has not earned your respect in the position there is no reason for you to respect them.

Re: Donks lose it over clown wearing Obama mask at rodeo
One thing I really don't like is that now all the OTHER rodeo clowns who want to work in Missouri have to go through "sensitivity training." That kind of thing happens way too much nowadays. It calls to mind the "re-education" process in "1984."
That's really happening a lot. There is a lot of effort devoted to "thought control" nowadays. To me it's pretty scary. Not for me personally. I'm old. I'll be dead soon in relative terms. But what's going on is not good news for my descendants. It's getting downright suffocating.
