Big South OL 2013

Post by bjtheflamesfan »

With just over a month until the 2013 season kicks off, we come to probably the most fun couple of previews each summer for me and that is the line. These next two are open discussion so fans can talk up the guys doing work in the trenches (offensive line can't really be quantified due to no official stats for the position).

First up is the guys whose job is to protect the QB and to pave the way for the RB.

Keydets:

LT) Emmanuel Cooper, 6'5, 290, Jr. Was moved from the D-Line last October when it was certain that then starter Jaron Rice wouldn't remain in school. Has added 20-lbs. since December, had a good Spring, I was told.

LG) Could be either Iyan Roseborough (6'3, 310, R-Fr.), or Pat Goulden (6'3, 275, R-Sr.)

C) Will Lucas, 6'2, 270, Sr. Ready to kick butt this year. He and QB Kordenbrock are juiced for a fine 2013.

RG) leader seems to be Nate Murray, 6'3, 315, R-So. Also had a fine Spring, and added 25-lbs. since December. Tommy Payne (6'3, 295, R-So) will be back up.

RT) Andy Marcotte, 6'7, 318, R-Jr. Has improved his footwork, and is primed for a good season. Jordan Veal (6'3, 310, R-Fr.) will be back up if shoulder heals.

Projected two-deep player Chad Reed (6'5, 315, R-Fr) will sit out the fall, to get academics in order. Coaches expect him to be a player once back on the field.
1-AA is tops!!
