So specifically how has anyone on here been subject to such atrocities at the hands of our evil government? Details...

I'm not even going to touch the gun control comment....

And I retract the use of the word atrocity, as it isn't appropriate here - my bad.

Could you make a rational statement void of brash assumptions?

I don't even know what channel Fox News is on DirecTV, I rarely watch cable news. If I do, it's Morning Joe.

Your apparent acceptance of PATRIOT Act policies sounds more like you're the one that watches Fox News. Read the PATRIOT Act, and get back to me. :coffee:

Would I be correct in assuming you're one of these, "I have nothing to hide so they can spy on my all they want" kind of guys? :ohno:

Yeah, I wouldn't want to touch the gun control comment if I were you either. totally blows your theory of "mythical" atrocies right out of the water, doesn't it?

Is the IRS targeting of one side of the political spectrum heresay?
Is the NSA illegally wiretapping and gathering phone records without warrants heresay?
Is the continued attempts to roll back RIGHTS guaranteed by the consitution heresay?

You tell me.

BS. So called political "experts" said the SAME thing in 86' when Congress passed amnesty and Reagan signed it. Well, guess what? The Rs got a lower % of the Hispanic vote in 88'

Giving amnesty with Citizenship to 11 million illegals will cost them lost votes from their base. It won't gain then anything from Hispanics.

Amnesty for illegal aliens does not win votes and never has won votes

Wasn’t saying it would swing team brown into the repub corner, but was indicating that it would help the repubs with a way to land significant portions of the brown voting base. According to the graph linked in your article, the numbers sway all over the board until recently when the repub rhetoric has taken a largely anti-immigration/no to everything stance (see ’08 & ’12). Well drop the ball on immigration and you can pencil in large discrepancies with the brown vote from here on out. Good luck overcoming that hole come ’16.

None of that will matter. With Obamacare & Dodd/Fwank taking full effect by the beginning of 14', along with the Fed eventually being forced to quit propping up the economy with funny $$ (QE3), the economy is going to go in the sh*tter. And in 2016 after 8 years of sh*tty economy the donks won't be able to still blame GW like they did in 2012.

You can bet as the governor of NJ Christie has met thousands of such people. No doubt about that, and that's an effective strategy if you want to president of the tri-state area. If you want to be president of the country, you have to act in the best interest of everyone. Obamacare won't hit until 2015 at the earliest in full, not '14. I like the Fed's course right now & if the GDP keeps accelerating they will successfully be able to pull back as they said they eventually will. All I know is I look at my 401(k) every month & it's humming along at a great pace recently. All is well, all is well, all is well.

That's the beauty of the 401k right now - it's basically tied to the stock market and the stock market has been doing well in spite of the economy being pretty crappy. As long as you have a job, you should be doing well in terms of investments. Thankfully the health of the stock market and the economy appear to be completely separate things.

Not convinced of this at all. Remember the 2004 election and gwb and cheney scaring everyone into believing that Kerry was weak on security because he wanted to weaken the patriot act, etc.

This was before libertarianism was en vogue -- back when you partied with your GWB cutout. Haha.

And I remember people looking at their 401ks in early 2000 and early 2008 saying all is well, all is well, all is well. They'll eventually have to stop artificially propping up the economy with funny $$ (QE3). Can't do that forever. Combined with the devastating effects of Obamacare the bubble is going to burst and when you look at your 401K you going to be saying "0h shit, oh shit, oh shit."

I understand satire is lost on you, so I won't address the GWB cutout--which has been retired. I do need a new one, though...any suggestions? Do you have that video bookmarked? It's not easy to find.

Anyways, I agree with the part I bolded, but I do think it's changing (2004 was almost a decade ago)...but we'll see.
