The fact you feel that Vick was justified in electricuting, hanging, drowning, starving, and burying foods alive is beyond **** up though....even if you want to pretend dogs don't feel pain, sadness, joy, etc... even though that's a proven fact.
It doesn't matter. I do think you probably over estimate the extent to which dogs feel emotion in the sense that we do. But even if they did it does not matter.
We made a huge mistake, as a culture, by ever going down the road of worrying about what animals of other species feel and experience to the point of telling people what they can and cannot do with the animals they own. It's going to get nothi9ng but worse.
If you want to be nice to animals, fine. If you want to think badly of people who aren't nice to their animals, fine. But insisting on legal consequences for other people doing whatever they want to do with the animals they own is not fine. It's over the top. It's insane even if the madness afflicts an overwhelming majority of those in the culture.
