Unnecessary and unfavorable attention? Your firm is directly involved in stripping Americans of their privacy and trashing the Constitution.

YOUR FIRM'S ACTIONS ARE UNNECESSAY AND UNFAVORABLE! And your firm deserves all the bad publicity they get.

Fvck your firm for being a part of this. :ohno:

All I'm saying is that I don't feel sympathy for Booz getting negative press over this when they've profited from these kinds of programs.
Lets wait for all the information to come out. He was only with the company do 3 months. That's a small portion of the career he's had with defense contractors.

Well, BAH has to have somewhere to put all the billions they're making off the NSA. Turns out spying on Americans is a cottage industry. :coffee:

Latest piece from the Guardian with some congressional and overseas reaction. This thing is a big fucking deal:
Dianne Feinstein, chairman of the national intelligence committee, has ordered the NSA to review how it limits the exposure of Americans to government surveillance. But she made clear her disapproval of Snowden. "What he did was an act of treason," she said. :coffee:

Peter Schaar, Germany's federal data protection commissioner told the Guardian that it was unacceptable that US authorities have access to the data of European citizens "and the level of protection is lower than what is guaranteed for US citizens." :ohno: His Italian counterpart, Antonello Soro, said that the data dragnet "would not be legal in Italy" and would be "contrary to the principles of our legislation and would represent a very serious violation".

In London, the British foreign secretary William Hague was forced to defend the UK's use of intelligence gathered by the US. In the House of Commons, Hague told MPs that British laws did not allow for "indiscriminate trawling" for information. "There is no danger of a deep state out of control in some way," he said. :nod:

The ACLU and Yale Law School's Media Freedom and Information Clinic filed a motion on Monday asking for secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court opinions on the Patriot Act to be made public in the light of the Guardian's revelations. :nod:

The motion asks for any documents relating to the court's interpretation of the scope, meaning and constitutionality of Section 215 of the Patriot Act – which authorises government to obtain "any tangible thing" :ohno: relevant to foreign intelligence or terrorism investigations – to be published "as quickly as possible" and with only minimal redaction.

"In a democracy, there should be no room for secret law," said Jameel Jaffer, ACLU deputy legal director. "The public has a right to know what limits apply to the government's surveillance authority, and what safeguards are in place to protect individual privacy."

The Electronic Frontier Foundation, an internet rights group, called for a "new Church committee" to investigate potential government infringements on privacy and to write new rules protecting the public. In the wake of the Watergate affair in the mid-1970s, a Senate investigation led by Idaho senator Frank Church uncovered decades of serious abuse by the US government of its eavesdropping powers. The committee report led to the passage of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and set up the Fisa courts that today secretly approve surveillance requests. :nod:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/ju ... :Position1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.[1]

I've heard that when Glenn Greenwald was asked whether or not he's concerned about prosecution for aiding and abetting Snowden a la Julian Assange his response was 'they are welcome to come and get me...you see I have this little thing called the constitution...'.

Glenn Greenwald cut his teeth as a constitutional and civil rights attorney before becoming a journalist. He clearly understands that craft better than the fraud sitting in the oval office. :nod:

I knew it existed. BAH is a top notch consulting firm similar to McKinsey, BCG, etc. These firms hire smart people and work them like dogs and bill out at outrageous hourly rates to cover the overhead and the partner bonuses. In return, the employees get paid pretty well and the experience looks great on a resume if they want to jump ship to one of the client companies. Unfortunately, government agencies have become a cash cow for many of these firms.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.
