F that. Last thing i want to do with my limited free weekend time is cut my lawn.

Come on, you have plenty of free time since you left the high pressure, billable hour, law firm job for the cushy corporate gig.

Besides, mowing the lawn can be therapeutic ... put on the headphones, ignore the world and get a little real exercise (not the weights/treadmill crap but good honest hard work).

I've actually been borrowing my neighbor's mower to cut it the last two weeks. I don't mind it when I have nothing else to do. I just know most of my summer weekends will be taken up by fun things....not work things.

So I go looking for some sporting goods today and everywhere I turn I am told that Bob Wards is the only place in town that will be able to help me. I hate Bob Wards. Their staff are incompetent, rude, sit on ivory towers and are not to be bothered when you ask for help...FUCK THEM. I haven't spent any money with them in years.

I go, against my better judgement. I walk in, hoping for the best, and head toward the fishing department. There I find 2 guys talking about whatever and stand around patently waiting for their conversation to end, not to interrupt. They finally look over and ask "you need anything?" I say yes and tell them what I am looking for. I get a quick " go to the front desk, they deal with that" and resume their conversation.

I head to the front desk and ask the lady there and she tells me "yeah we sell them but I don't know where" and she walks away to help someone else. I ask her again if she can find out and get this gem " I already told you I don't know, what more do you want me to do"

Fuck that place.

I have a Sr. VP of Marketing that has wanted to review his financial performance since April. He's rescheduled with me so many times that we have since completed May's results, and will be finished with June next week. We were scheduled to meet today at 2PM EC(b) (which I confirmed with him at 1:30) and he's still off doing other crap at nearly 2:50PM.

You schedule a meeting, you stick to the time unless something really important comes up.

At lunch today I'm at a large regional chain grocery store buying $7.82 of bulk items that won't fit in a bag. I get my receipt and start to walk the 30 ft. to the door when:

Cashier: "Wait, I need to put stickers on this."
Me: "Why?"
Cashier: "Just in case, so it shows you paid for them."
Me: "Doesn't the receipt you just gave me show that I paid for them? I'm going out that door right there (pointing)."
Cashier: "Yeah, but we have to put a sticker on it."
