THIS!!

We own a few rental properties. On the lots there are a few folks that you have to call multiple times a summer, knock on doors, and send letters notifying them of their duty to cut their grass. It isn't hard. I offer to mow them for 5 bucks...granted this when I am doing other work around there... and they always decline and say "I'll get to it tomorrow". Well tomorrow never comes. This goes along with the dog poop picking up....some yards it seems are just solid poop.

This year is much different. I mailed out a summer flier to everyone stating that if lawns are not maintained there will be fees issued, per the lease, and mowing will cost 20 dollars. If they wish to have me come by and take care of it, it will still be 5 bucks.

All lawns look great this year and I have yet to mow one lawn.

Had a spot almost EXACTLY like that in Yuma, 'dawg. Ironically called "Sam's Grocery", but they made breakfast burritos in the back and they were to DIE for....place was started in 1936 by a White guy, and bought by a Mexican family in 1948 and owned by them ever since....fricking awesome breakfast food....

I never let my tenant maintain landscaping.

Price it into the rent and hire someone.

Same here. My neighbor is a landscaper on the side and I pay him to mow.

The shitty part about where I live is that my house backs up to the woods and the branches are too high up for me to cut. This is causing the grass to die. I really need this guy to go in and sod the dirt patches with grass that can tolerate the shade.

We live on a 25 mph residential street that looks more like an arterial due to its width. Kids and people walking their dogs are everywhere. A few assholes are going 40-50 by the time they pass our house. I guarantee you my time is more important than any of there's...but I don't speed. Selfish pricks. :ohno:

Yes, I've called a few places about getting sod and what sod is good for shady areas. It'll cost about $300. My backyard has a hill and it's there that a lot of the grass is gone. In prepping the soil, i'm not sure how to keep the soil and sod from staying put. I was planning on doing this in the spring but I had an unexpected expense come and use the money I saved for the lawn.

Verizon "customer service." Just waited 15 minutes after talking to the Robo-Voice Lady and got cut off before I could talk to a live person about a landline repair. :pissed: :tantrum:

Landline? Is it hooked up to your fax machine? Do you still have an AOL account too?

Same here. Our road is 35 mph, but it's the main road to one of the hospitals a half mile away and it's a 4 lane road. I'm out mowing and it's like the Indy 500 out there. I can be mowing right on the curb and the asswipes won't get over into the leftmost lane either. Here is a depiction (not my yard, but you get the picture).

Correct regarding bikes, but not with walking. You want to be able to see what's coming while walking so you can avoid it.

Edit: Oh, a joke. Whoops - taking things too literally today methinks

:suspicious:

Besides wanting your stapler back, you should get your reading glasses back.

The purpose of walking against traffic is to make sure you can see what is coming. Of course, you could always hook up a rear view mirror on your mower.

There's a whole lot of better places I can spend my money in the future and that's exactly what I'll do if I don't get my damn proper recognition PRETTY DAMN SOON!!!!!!!!.
