Obama will wipe his ass with you all, again. He's smarter and better.
If Obama had any political capital left to spend, it is now gone with the most recent scandals. He is a lame duck in every sense of the term moving forward.

The president claims that he found out at the same time as all Americans that his DOJ is spying on a news agency and that his IRS has been targeting political opponents. If this is true he is grossly incompetent, and if not true then he has been untruthful. Add to it, his tepid response/reaction to the scandals. He's trying to paint himself as an innocent bystander, but he's the POTUS, he's not innocent or a bystander.

This is becoming very easy for the GOP to gain seats in the mid-term elections, assuming they can get out of their own way.
The media needs to sell advertising.

Obama will come out of this stronger than he was before. He always does cuz he's smarter and better than everyone else. You should know this by now, he's been schoolin conks for 6 years.

These partially conk-manufactured "scandals" will ultimately be catalysts for meaningful government restructuring, thus further ensuring Barack Husseing Obama's position as the greatest president of our generation and perhaps of all time.

D, that is some of the best bullshitting you have done in a long time. The only people that would agree with that are UNH and Tod. :thumb:

You truly think that he'll come out of this viewed as the "greatest president ever"? I would think in your mind he'd already be on the junk heap for perpetuating most of W's policies - the most recent stuff is simply fueling that fire, but it's largely ignored by the Dems. Holder and Obama, as usual, have already made statements distancing themselves from any internal issues under their vigilant watch. Since they're in a second term and blaming Bush is so passe, they'll begin throwing their own under the bus :dunce:

I will take that bet with D if you don't G8. It's a "can't-lose" endeavor. I will guarantee that Obama will never be viewed as a better president than George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. D, what is the timeline for this bet? When will the loser have to pay up?

I don't have a problem driving to Furman to get him a custom "FU D1B" hat if he really wants it. Even if I turn out to be wrong.

Committee will decide:

1. Baldy arguing for the fucking conks
2. DbackJon representing Progressives
3. Kalm - Independent

We should be able to convene in a few months at the lastest. I'm confident the lazy, obstructionist conks will be hobbling away to the hills with their tails between their legs and a map of Malaysia in Obama goo all over their backsides.

If you read back through the posts on the three controversies, about 3/4 of the links are BDK-esque Breitbart type deals. So I think the consensus view of cs.com news subscribers is clearly skewed to the right on this one. I, Kalm, being a clear Obama/Democrat hater for quite some time now am skilled enough to wade through the right wing media slant and provide truly independent and unbiased judgement.

President Obama "obviously likes giving speeches more than he does running the executive branch," Chris Matthews said tonight.
Coming from Matthews, that's pretty bad. I'm telling you, the wheels may be falling off. The Press feels they are under attack from the administration that they loved and protected and now,NOW, they are starting to turn on the bias.

Here's a good interview, even though it's MSNBC.

Meanwhile, what's up with Holder? This guy knows nothing. He either knows too little or nothing at all. And do any of you find it odd that he doesn't know what his deputy is up to? I get that he has a busy job. I've worked for Admirals that weren't into the details, but they could have a conversation and speak with some specifics on what their subordinates do. That's a trait of a good leader.

the nation’s top law enforcement official, Eric Holder is privy to all kinds of sensitive information. But he seems to be proud of how little he knows.

Why didn’t his Justice Department inform the Associated Press, as the law requires, before pawing through reporters’ phone records?

“I do not know,” the attorney general told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday afternoon, “why that was or was not done. I simply don’t have a factual basis to answer that question.”

Why didn’t the DOJ seek the AP’s cooperation, as the law also requires, before issuing subpoenas?

“I don’t know what happened there,” Holder replied. “I was recused from the case.”

Why, asked the committee’s chairman, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), was the whole matter handled in a manner that appears “contrary to the law and standard procedure”?

“I don’t have a factual basis to answer the questions that you have asked, because I was recused,” the attorney general said.
