I was going to post this, thanks. It's great that Tesla is doing well AND got 99/100 from Consumer Reports.
The car gets 300 miles per charge, costs $1 to charge    ...

How long does it take to recharge?

I think 6 hours to fully charge. You can cut that down by purchasing a supercharger and/or getting a twin charger installed. The wonderful thing is that each Tesla is built custom to the buyer. You have to plan a little but if my wife and I bought one, the City of Charleston has charging stations where she works and is installing them around town.

There are mobile apps and website to help you find charging stations.

I live in Manassas and we have five charging stations...

...I've never seen an electric car here.

edit: but hey, I'm all for future investments. They're probably not too expensive to build anyways.

One of our neighbors has one. Damned good looking car...nice interior, 7 seats, and it pulls away silently and VERY quickly. Impressive in every way.

And she, the driver, is very hot. An Italian.

If my work had a charging station installed I'd have bought one in a heartbeat. @ 3.50/gallon, you can buy a lot of car when you don't have to buy gas. :ohno:

Walking the dog the night before last and apparently a neighbor just got a white one. What a great looking ride. Thought it was an Aston Martin at first. :notworthy:

Anyone know what the battery situation is on these things? Seems like you could run into some major expenses down the line if they need repairing/replacing...
