Israel strikes Syria

Post by YoUDeeMan »

"Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes against targets inside Syria on Friday, U.S. officials told NBC News.

It’s believed the primary target was a shipment of weapons headed for Hezbollah in Lebanon, they said. A senior U.S. official said the airstrikes were believed to be related to delivery systems for chemical weapons."

Nothing to see here...everything under control.

Edit: this Chris Hayes guy is a complete buffoon.

Not drawing red lines and instead telling Germany, France and the rest of NATO and the UN that its their turn.

So they can go and attack pretty much every nation that surrounds them for absolutely no reason?

For the record the "rebels fighting for freedom" story is complete nonsense.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

You didn't ask me, but in my humble opinion- Obama should get the fuck out of the middle east, and stop telling other nations how to run their internal affairs.. all the while backing sketchy "rebel" groups.

There is some merit to that suggestion. :thumb:

I want BHO thrown out of office for Fast and furious and Hillary Kankles Clinton damaged so bad on Bengasi that she can’t run for President

I was reading this AM that BHO went off teleprompter and did his red line statement on Syria

Now they are trying to walk it back…his handlers have their hands full

He’s a trainwreck and I don’t want any weapons given to our enemies like he is doing in Egypt

Just help Israel get the job done…they are not incompetent

Drawing red lines? Encouraging Germany or France to do something?

Whatever red line Israel may have drawn, it appears Syria already crossed it.

Got to love right wing rubes trying to dictate policy on the Middle East. The righties have been so successful in those endeavors.

I'd rather see Israel bomb Syria than have us do it. That's what happened this weekend, and yet people are still complaining about Obama.

Yep- things are going just peachy now in places like Libya, a place where we had opened a new embassy under the last administration, relations with Qaddafi had improved, and then we supported his overthrow and its a garden spot now. Thriving tourist industry, commerce, Democracy!

My only complaint about Obama is that he should have done what his advisors told him and kept his mouth shut about red lines. All that does is just encourage Assad to keep killing while staying away from using the gas. Smart power.

Agreed on Israel. They are just attacking missiles meant for Hizboallah anyway. I think the "international community" should mean Germany, France and Israel. They're closer, have a vested interest, and have benefitted from our military spending and patronage since WWII. Let them deal with Assad and those who replace him.

Almost as successful as the lefties in their endeavors on the war on poverty and poor education.

That has nothing to do with how Obama handles Syria.

Seeing as you don't want us in Syria, you should be happy that the White House is backing off the comment. The comment was a mistake, sticking to it just to try and save face would be another mistake.

The UN isn't going to happen with Russia and China vetoing everything.

And NATO won't happen unless the U.S. backs up those countries.

Smells like Mossad.
