Phils get 4 in the top of the 6th to break a 0-0 tie. Phils now lead 4-0 in the 7th. Ryan Howard gets the big hit, a 3 run HR. Kendrick with the shut out through 6 innings.

Utley has 5 errors, Howard has 3 HR's, Hamels and Halladay have ERA's over 5. These numbers have to improve. At his current pace, Howard will hit 20 HR's this year.

Yes. Too early to give up on them. They have looked bad so far, against an easy schedule to boot, but there is a lot of time.

Agreed. But Utley is back to form at the place. Howard has been hitting for a better average (above .280) and Hamels and Halladay are returning to form. We know what to expect from these guys, and I expect them to improve as the year goes on. This team will rise or fall with the development of the young guys, both in the pen and in the lineup. Just my two cents.

I saw the last 4 innings of the Braves-Nats game last night. Strasburg actually got better as the game moved along, striking out 4 of the last 6 hitters he faced, but the Nats left a small city on the base paths and ended up losing 3-2.
