Well, foreskins, your beloved Bravos just lost 3 in a row to the Pirates. You haven't clinched dick yet, Bobby Cocks.eagleskins wrote:Phillies look like Sam Cassell's asshole

Don't think I've forgotten about the $100 bet on the Nats winning 100 or more this season....eagleskins wrote:Phillies look like Sam Cassell's asshole

Pettibone didn't look half bad tonight! Should be a nice #3 for the phils in the future.
Also, Jesse Biddle struck out 16 in his latest start. Phils future SP looks promising!

Biddle was dominating last night supposedly. Maybe he could make a push for the MLB roster next season.

Fucking depressing. Phils make another young pitcher look like Koufax and get shut out again. Hamels 0-3.
Nats on track to go 81-81.

If Brown and Revere ever start hitting, we could actually score some runs.**** depressing. Phils make another young pitcher look like Koufax and get shut out again. Hamels 0-3.

Basically, we need to hope Chooch does what he did last year to save this team.

God awful start by the Nats. I was praying that they'd keep Laroche, but he's abysmal this season. Zimmerman making errors, now hurt. Gio perhaps was juicing? Strasburg looks downright human.Ivytalk wrote:Nats on track to go 81-81.

Just be glad you don't have $100 riding on them to win 100 games.

Re: Phillies 2013 "Road to Redemption" Thread
Rock bottom last night for the Phils offense, rock friggin bottom. Totally hittable guy & we got what 4 hits? So 4th inning, Mayberry leads off with a triple, Brown gets HBP & then Revere hits a slow grounder to 3rd & Mayberry goes on contact & gets thrown out by 15 feet??? WTF!! Chollie tries to defend it postgame & evokes the name Abner Doubleday? Clock's ticking Chollie, clock's ticking.
Dom Brown now barely hitting his weight, if that.

And the crowds keep shrinking. "Announced" 31K on a cold night, but it looked like maybe 20K actually showed up.

Re: Phillies 2013 "Road to Redemption" Thread
Well to be fair they said before Opening Day they had already sold 2.6M seats for the season so they won't average less than 37K in a park that holds what 42K for the season...Ivytalk wrote:And the crowds keep shrinking. I've got some bet with 93 I think on the Phils finishing behind the Nats and Braves.AshevilleApp wrote:89Hen wrote: God awful start by the Nats. Braves seem like a safe bet right now. Nats should improve based on their talent.

Hence the "seem" and "right now".

Bullpen pisses away a 3-1 lead and a great outing by Doc.

Re: Phillies 2013 "Road to Redemption" Thread
I think it's the first time the phils have lost after having a lead after 6 innings or something, so I'm not too worried about the bullpen (except for Durbin and Valdez, who are mostly mop up). The offense lost the game AGAIN with its piss poor outing.Bullpen pisses away a 3-1 lead and a great outing by Doc.

This team has no life right now, no juice. It's not even May & they seem to be going through the motions. At least we get a break tonight with the NFL Draft....
