If the government's plan for getting people back to work is to incentivize NOT working with 99 weeks of unemployment checks and no requirement to prove they applied but can’t find work ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.

If being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more "safe" according to the government ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.

I can't speak to the complete idiocy of this crazy uncle list, but the above connection (teaching evolution - evolving to extinction) is why we should be teaching only evolution in SCIENCE class. Most people are totally ignorant about evolution and it shows.

I don't think they really made a "connection." I think what they are getting at is that we have all this respect for the process of evolution yet at the same time we act like there is some ideal static circumstance that we should try to preserve. Human activity resulting in the extinction of other species is part of natural selection. Other species that can deal with it will persist. And there are MANY species that can deal with it. Some actually do better as a result of it. Those that can't will not persist. There is no "moral" imperative to preserve other species. And doing things like stopping dam construction because you're worried about the snail darter is ridiculous.

Tellico Dam shouldn't have been built -- for a host of reasons... not just the snail darter.

A connection? Really, clearly they had statements, premises, and we're to believe, somehow, that the teaching of evolution in schools AND preventing something from evolving to extinction led to the conclusion that we live in a country run by idiots. Yet, they have a very clear mix-up between demographic processes leading to rarity and the process of evolution: "evolving to extinction". IMO, crazy uncle should stick to what he knows... guns, SSI, Kenya, Hitler references, etc..
