Re: Props to ODU!!!
ASU didn't start their transition to FBS when they announced they were going FBS for selfish reasons, they wanted a FCS NC. It didn't work out for them, now they are on the same transition schedule as ASU & GSU. I hardly call that "not jumping ship"grizzaholic wrote:For not jumping ship like App State and GSU. Good Luck to ASU & GSU in the Sun Belt. I hope it's all you think it will be.
PS.When you can pay us $350k +, we'll consider coming back to Boone and Statesboro. That is, unless the SB announces they too will not play FCS teams any longer.

First, I think you meant to say "ODU" there. The Cats wrote:ASU didn't start their transition to FBS when they announced they were going FBS for selfish reasons, they wanted a FCS NC. Second, "selfish reasons"? That move was the complete opposite. 2012 was year 4 of the program. The Redshirt Seniors and Seniors already spent the first two years in a "transition" as they had to wait to be full members of the CAA. They were also recruited without seeing a locker room, a practice field, a reburbished stadium, etc. and had no idea if anyone would come to see them play. They were rewarded with an opportunity to have a legitimate shot at a NC. That was not the program being "selfish". That was the program saying "thank you" to the upper classmen that took a chance on their career with a new program.

That's a given, but with the busy schedule that football players have, there is no time to enjoy paradise so it is like a big tease.Rob Iola wrote:I thought they came because Norfolk's a regular paradise on earth?CAA Flagship wrote: First, I think you meant to say "ODU" there.
