Chaves said the NCAA will follow-up with the necessary procedures to submit the formal appeal. He said the process of the appeal will take several months, but will know more once EWU hears back from the NCAA...
I think the ban will be lifted because coach Wulff coaches for WSU now. Having said that, Eastern's QB is a SENIOR and All American & BSC MVP, the all starting recievers are SENIORS. If Eastern Washington was EVER gonna bring it back to Cheney... it would be this 2009 season. Goeags!

I started this thread out of bordem now that football and bball are both over and to see if I could get a rise out of non-Big Sky fans.
Really I think WSU has a good shot at the title this upcoming and well UM always is always a contender.
Weber's Coach Mac said next year's D he thinks will be his best defense since he has been our coach - since 2005.
We did lose 8 starters on D so most were/are expecting that to be our weakness. The offense should be very good again considering we were one of the top 5 offenses this past season and we basically have all our key skilled guys back minus our fullback going to NFL.
So minus any major injuries you gotta consider Weber State for 2009.

Gotta agree.....We've got Armanti, but we'll also see how much of his success was due to Satterfield....I'd pick Richmond again...did they lose much from last year's team? JMU doesn't make playoffs.....
Entirely possible with our schedule this year... if we make it out alive, be afraid... be very afraid

Key word......WIN A GAME...
yea yea we get it. dont base our entire fan base off the other posters that have been on AGS.
The ONLY way we make the playoffs is if Mertens (QB) doesnt throw an INT every pass attempt. He let us down SO MANY times last year and fvcked us up

UNI..NIU. either way i dont like those bastards. In 2005 we were KILLIN that team and at the last sec, a reciever fumble on his way to the endzone. and at the end of the game the purple pussies had the nerve to chant "fvck the big sky".... just made me wanna KILL EM !
If you would just take care of business you wouldn't have that problem would you?

It wasn't just the fan base on AGS..
Oh, and the Bison home game chant at UNI was funny...because you lost, just like you do at home. Very fitting I must say
Its not a problem that our fans travel extremely well. But hey, i can't wait for UNI to come to the Fargodome and see how much better the Fargodome is as a facilty than the UNI Dome

I loved playing in the FargoDome my freshman year, minus the basement carpet for turf. It's unreal punting in there. It feels like the ball hangs forever. Our video man and my parents have me on film hitting a 75 yard punt in the air in there. I'll never forget it.

yea the turf is pretty much just laid on concrete and its pretty hard. Mike Dragosavich, NFL punter now for the Colts, had multiple times almost reaching the roof of the dome. Punts fly in that place
Yeah I saw Drago punt a few times in there. When we had our practice session in there the night before our game, NDSU was just finishing up and he stuck around and talked to me and our place kicker for a while. It was fun kicking around with him.

I would rather see these teams win it:
Eastern Washington
Idaho State
Missou State
Eastern Kentucky
Jacksonville state
So Carolina St.
Maine
Umass
Rhode Island
Sac State
I DONT want to see these teams win it:
App St
Cal Poly Weber st.
SIU
NIU Richmond
JMadison
Youngstown st
No Weber State???????
Why Not??????
WHY THE HATER???? Its not like they always get there.

I don't give a shit if your dome, which isn't even a fucking dome, is better looking than ours. Better looking dome contest is like being the winner of the fugly girl contest. It doesn't mean shit, if you still suck.
Willie wrote:I just consider ANY sporting facility that is under a roof a dome. I've never come up with a suitable name for the retractable roof facilities though.
Willie they can call it "dome" but it doesn't have the parabolic shape to fit the definition. clenz has you on this one I think. If I were to throw a rock at you and I called it a "Fargospear" it would still be a rock...
1. A vaulted roof having a circular, polygonal, or elliptical base and a generally hemispherical or semispherical shape.
But then again it's indoor football and that's really all that needs to be said about that.

NDSU wins at the Fargodome. When its a sold out game, it is one of the most hostile envirnoments in FCS from the noise level.
NDSU is 23-4 in the past 5 years in the Fargodome. Where 3 of those losses were to ranked teams. Don't say that NDSU doesn't win at the Fargodome. Plus it does help that we dont have concrete walls in the endzone with paint on them
lol... i used to have this fight when i was in college... a lot.
much as it's a giant airplane hanger - the Alerus Center is at least properly named, and could lay more claim to 'dome' than the building in fargo.
the FFD, by definition, is an inaccurate name. I'm a stickler on this only because I think it's silly to name it 'dome' anyway... in lieu of saving money by getting a sponsor why they couldn't call it the Fargo Center or even Fargo Indoor Stadium would have made more sense.
all of that being said, and despite the comments to the contrary... the FFD is, IMO the BEST of the "small town indoor football facilities" in the country. granted... that's akin to being the world's tallest midget according to some.
but it's a great place to watch a football game, it serves a badly needed function for a metro area of 130,000 and in a city where snow often flies in October, and it can get below 0 before mid-November... inside, sadly, is probably best for football.
however I wouldn't complain if they found a way to play outside at Dakotah Field in September (Sept. in Fargo is great)

Look, prison stinks is what I'm sayin, its not like you can go home...and recharge your batteries and come back in the morning and be with your friends having fun in the office.
(why was i in prison?)
I stole
And I robbed
And I kidnapped the president's son
And held him for randsome
And I never got caught neither!
(what was the food like in prison)
Gruel...sandwitches
Gruel-omlets
Nothin but gruel
Plus you can eat your own hair
Well i dont see my thunderbirds winning the Championship, i do think however they have a great shot at winning season which is way overdo. I however think Cal Poly may be a dark horse canidate to win it all. Yes they lost alot of people however i think that ellerson before he left had recruited an impressive number of athletes to make the Mustangs good for a few more years.

How are the Penguins looking this spring?
Very solid across the board.
Got a few 5th year guys off of medical redshirts that will strengthen our lines.
We are 5 deep at running back.
Season will depend on the health of the entire team, esp. our QB. If he gets injured, we are screwed.
good awkward mascots: ducks, beavers, penguins
just awkward mascots: salukis, tide, green wave, blue hens.

I just dont like WSU. If they went to the playoffs reppin the SKY then i would have no choice but to support them. However, in conf play.. i dont like them.
Weber st. had a nice run. Got some old alumi back in good graces, earned a little money.... now its time to graciously step aside.
