Honestly, Washington-Grizzly stadium is electric. It is college football. Better experience than San Jose state, Air Force, & San Diego state in MY opinion. I can remember telling a teammate " now this is college football" just before a play @wgs, but if I was a recruit all over again I would not want to live there and play for that team.

Other than camping, skiing, fishing, hiking, hunting, kayaking, rafting, climbing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, wolf fleeing, and Grizo watching.

We do have a shortage of discotheques though

And our unis were pretty ugly when you played, I'll give you that. I think the new ones are badass though

I was going to support you guys and comment that Bitterroot Valley Weather is similar to Spokane, but not after this bull shit.

Turn the camera away from Hellgate Canyon and you mostly see cheat grass and a smaller version of Spotucky.

Not to mention you can do all of that in Cheney...other than Grizo watching.

I don't think MSU athletics got that memo.

Last year I went to the Northwest and I could feel it even with the stadium empty.

To all of you who have never experienced Northwest weather...don't believe the hype. WGS lies in the Bitterroot Banana Belt. Sheltered valley, urban heat island affect, balmy...compared to the windswept tundra of Roos.

Roos? I don't think this conversation is about Kangaroos, and that doesn't look like Australia.

Your comment made my day, Bronco. I've lived in both Butte and Flagstaff.

If you're a college kid/athlete who likes the outdoors, hiking, camping, etc. then there isn't a much better place than Flagstaff as you can do that 12 months of the year. Problem is...those don't tend to be the things that drive most high profile college football recruits. Shiny uniforms (a la Uncle Phil @ the U of Oregon), lots of tv time and media exposure, the university's name brand, a thriving social scene and warmer weather will win out over words like "beatiful setting" and "quality education" nearly every time.

Case in point. UM and Wa-Griz have enough of an aura to draw FCS fans on an unrelated vacation to stop by and pay homage to it, even when it is empty. I passed MSU, UM and EWU on this trip and only felt compelled to visit Wa Griz.
