I think Bush was false. He was a false conservative, giving people like Teddy Kennedy things like NCLB so he could get bipartisan support for his own big government push, like USAPatriot and the creation of DHS.

Obama is just inept. He isn't false because he is exactly what he said he was- a big government liberal. But he's inept because he farmed out his signature legislation to Pelosi and Co who turned it into a disaster. Now all he does is campaign and demagogue Republicans because that's all he knows how to do.

She's a world police interventionist and a corruptocrat, but Hillary Clinton would have made a better CinC than both of them, and that's a SAD testament to where we are.

On many issues Obama is also a false liberal.

The problem is the duopoly.

I don't think Obama has departed from his ideology nearly as much as Bush did.

Are we sure that Bush really departed from his ideology? Or, did he move towards his true ideology?

Well, there were a couple clues that he was a bit of a statist during the debates with Gore. I was a little miffed at his response to questions about social issues and role of govt.

That said, at the time he was the lesser of two knucklheads. I still voted 3rd party though.

Yeah...it is harder to look like the worse of two knuckleheads if you're debating Al Gore.

I voted for Dubya but in hindsight I wished I'd voted Gore or 3rd party. Gore might be a pompous dork but I think he might have been a better POTUS than Dubya.

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

It wouldn't be hard to be a better POTUS than GWB, but I hardly doubt Gore would have been better.

I don't think Gore would have been a better option. Since he stopped campaigning he has shown himself to be nuttier than squirrel sh!t.
