See, that's the thing. You've gone on in other posts about how you aren't blaming the laity and the regular people in the church, and then in this post you actual lable them as "evil". What you miss in your sweeping bigotry-laden temper tantrum, is that the main drivers and main exposers of the awfulness that has been done have been by Catholics themselves - the same laity that you deride as enablers and even encouragers have been the ones at the forefront exposing these crimes and demanding accountability.
You admittedly come to the table as a religion hating bigot. You don't even deny that anymore. But all you are doing is trying to unjustly claim credit for exposing and dealing with the horrible crimes of the Church when in reality, the real people who have trailblazed that are the actual Catholics and laity who are just as appalled as you try to claim you are (and again, I'm not sure you can even see through your bigot handicap to even care about the children) and are the ones who have been pressing, and will continue to press, the Church hierarchy to admit their faults and fix the system so that these horrendous crimes never happen again. Really? Catholic's led the charge? How bout the journalists who broke the Boston atrocity and the countless others refused to bow to pressure from the church to shut up - SNAP, the Freedom from Religion Foundation who kept on your case when you tried sweep it under the rug. I certainly do applaud the many victims, many no longer catholic, who bravely stepped up and took on the most ruthless, wealthiest, and immoral slaughterer in the history of the world in the Catholic Church (Leadership).
Your gross, self serving exaggerations of my intent are just another, well worn, ploy used by apologists to silence critics. The church is made up of predominatly good people, who through countlesss generations of forced indoctrination, were incapable of noticing, or caring about, what their leaders were doing. They're victims too and I support them on their own journeys of enlightenment as they successfully exit your cult by the millions each year.
I support and applaude the many good works performed by the church. Several are on my annual charitable giving list and have been so for years.
Again, my focus is on your leadership - for centuries, a cabal of homosexual deviants, sadists, cowards, criminals, and sexual perverts who have parlayed the trust and money of decent but misguided people into a worldwide crime organization dealing in the sexual abuse and torture of children.
