Japan to Ban Bathtubs!

Post by JohnStOnge »

Just kidding. But if it were the United States, I sure as heck wouldn't be surprised if it would happen:

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I'll save them all the money they are inevitably going to spend on this study:

Japanese people work hard.

Then they go home and drink, cuz fuck work, it sucks, lets get drunk.

Then they take a bath before bed because tell people you take showers in the morning, and they'll look at you like you just told them you hunt the elderly for sport.

They plop their tired as fuck, overworked, drunk bodies into the tub that's already way too hot, thus making them even more tired, fall asleep (I actually have friends that tell me they nap in the bath...), and don't wake up.

It doesn't take millions of yen on a study to figure this out.

Maybe they could spend that money on figuring out why eating a fish that's deadly poisonous, whose chefs need a special license just to cut, results in several people dying each year. Or maybe on why eating their traditional mashed rice cakes that are basically the same as trying to swallow a Stretch ArmStrong result in hundreds and thousands of people choking to death each year.

Authorities are being urged to draw up guidelines on how to take a bath safely
I think they must have been contaminated by Western culture. That seems SO much like something that would happen in the United States.
