He is very respected by Dr Hunter and Coach Small and they are all men of honor and integrity so I doubt any ego or political agenda was at play here. It will be very interesting to watch this search process and see who ends up replacing him.
Any ideas as to who will replace this guy??

Grizz, if you look at who he is a fan of, it will show you he is a fan of CCU (Coastal Carolina). Yet more proof that Coastal Carolina needs to put more money into the academic side of thier institution instead of flooding athletics to make themselves feel good.

Please don't pin his lack of grammar and misuse of the English language on CSU.
All you east coast schools look alike to us. :coffee: :coffee:

From coachingsearch.com

Charleston Southern: Sources tell me current defensive backs / defensive pass game coordinator Marcus Woodson has interviewed for the head coaching job at Charleston Southern.

Personally I think this would be a great choice.
Marcus Woodson

Marcus Woodson begins his fourth year on the CSU football staff, after joining the Buccaneers just prior to 2009 spring drills and will coach the defensive backs.

Woodson comes to CSU from Millsaps College where he was in charge of recruiting in Mississippi, Florida, and the southern parts of Alabama and Louisiana.

In 2009 at Millsaps, three of his four defensive backs earned first-team all-conference honors as the defense led the League in pass break ups with 75. In 2007, the Majors’ defense ranked second in the country in pass efficiency defense (81.6 ypg), fifth in scoring defense (11.9 ppg) and eighth in turnovers gained (36). In 20 games over the course of the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Milllsaps had 38 interceptions, including 10 returns for touchdowns.

Sounds promising. I think a fresh face could really energize the team and alumni base.

In all sincerity, I would love for CSU to really expand and become a team to watch. I grew up a Citadel fan, but I would love for the match up to be consistently a nail biter. Likewise with Coastal. I used to attend CSU games b/c I live nearby but lately, what's the point? You can't have a fun tailgate and the game isn't exciting. :coffee: ;)
