How about moving it to Lambeau?
Oh, that's right. The NCAA has the same bogus problems with cold weather championship games that the No Fun League has.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

It's not Miami you know. Game last year in Frisco was played with the temps mostly in the 40's. While not bitter cold, it's not really considered warm either.SuperHornet wrote:How about moving it to Lambeau?

Re: NC Game in Frisco thru 2015 season
dal: What the heck is "traditional" about having the Super Bowl either in a warm-weather city or in a dome? Look back at the list of pre-Super Bowl NFL Championship games, and you'll see games played outdoors in places like Chicago that were snowing at the time. The whole thing about the Super Bowl is a bogus league leadership that won't admit that good football can be played in bad weather.
And I'd love to see the FCS Chipper played under those conditions, too. So these games get rotated around. Fine. Just make sure that at SOME point in the rotation, a snow game is possible....

Okay granted I know about championship games played in cold weather conditions but I was talking about SB games.Every SB game I saw was played in warm weather conditions be it in a dome or outdoors.SuperHornet wrote:dal: What the heck is "traditional" about having the Super Bowl either in a warm-weather city or in a dome? There were flurries during the '03 title game.SuperHornet wrote:dal: What the heck is "traditional" about having the Super Bowl either in a warm-weather city or in a dome? And really, rotated around. To whom? It's not like the list of cities wanting to host the FCS title game is a long list.
Oh, and it does snow in Frisco, btw. Heck, I seem to remember a Dolphins/Cowboys Thanksgiving game that was played in snow. So it's certainly possible.

I'd like to see the game rotated through Sac, Missoula, Newark, and Boone....

So you want to make it difficult and in several cases expensive for fans of the teams in the game to actually go to and see the game?SuperHornet wrote:I'd like to see the game rotated through Sac, Missoula, Newark, and Boone....

No kidding. Don't forget that most students are not in school the first week of Jan, so you're not going to have great attendance on a campus. Hell, the Hens have trouble drawing for their own playoff games in December (yeah, insert smart comment here)... a NC game between NDSU and SHSU wouldn't draw shit in Newark.GannonFan wrote:So you want to make it difficult and in several cases expensive for fans of the teams in the game to actually go to and see the game?SuperHornet wrote:I'd like to see the game rotated through Sac, Missoula, Newark, and Boone....

What a stupid idea. Frisco is a good location, as was Chatanooga.SuperHornet wrote:I'd like to see the game rotated through Sac, Missoula, Newark, and Boone....

You would get about 10,000 Bison fans, not sure about Sammy.89Hen wrote:No kidding. Wasn't that the infamous Leon Lett game?GannonFan wrote:There were flurries during the '03 title game.SuperHornet wrote:dal: What the heck is "traditional" about having the Super Bowl either in a warm-weather city or in a dome? Don't remind me, Ivy. Actually, that was one of TWO infamous Leon Lett games. I still remember him running a fumble in for a touchdown, but losing it when he celebrated before he hit the end zone, allowing a speeding Don Beebe to swat it away at about the three.
BOTH of those incidents prompted me to want to fire him at the very least.

That's the point, dal. He was so busy celebrating that Beebe was able to make him look incredibly stupid. I don't think a defender's looked that stupid since Jim Marshall took a 49er fumble 66 yards the wrong way for a safety....dal4018 wrote:He got caught from behind by Don Beebe.SuperHornet wrote:Don't remind me, Ivy.
