Exactly, we checked out a sams club once, it was a complete joke. Nothing more than what you have stated. The only thing that they had that Costco didn't was Diesel fuel.
I joined Price Club back in the early 80's and will never give them up over a walmart.
Its also nice not to eat meat that has been packed in Carbon Monoxide to make it a pretty red.

I don't buy meat at a Costco or Sams or Walmart or Target. I've had it at other people's houses and it's been tough. Local butcher is my choice, local grocer second.

Grocery cuts in my home town are "select" grade, and a rib eye will run you 9.99 a pound for this non-marbled dog chew grade of meat.

I can get "Choice" grade boneless ribeye at Costco for 6.99 a pound, and "Prime" grade ribeye for the same price as they charge in my local store, about 10 bucks a pound.

No comparison whatsoever, I buy the whole rib-eye or NY Strip, or tenderloin, bring it home and cut it to my liking and individually vacuum seal each steak. I will never waste my money on select beef again.

Again, where can you actually find prime grade beef at these prices?

Of course there is enlightened management. And we should all support it. But keep in mind that unionized retail workers inflate the pay and benefits of non unionized workers in a given area.

A friend filled one with warm, not boiling, water and kept it closed for about 10 minutes, then drained put stuff that needed to be kept hot inside and closed. It kept it nice and hot for the 2 hour drive and another hour at the tailgate until the food was served at a tailgate this year.

I have no idea on how he did it, but he said it worked like a charm. I may try this if SUU makes the Playoffs next year.

It does look good, can't see the flavor and tenderness though. Needs to pass the "cut with a fork" test for tenderness and has to taste great without any seasoning.

Just signed up at the Costco in Fargo,ND. Nice place with a variety of everything.

Interesting debate here on meat/where it is better. Costco steaks are good, but IMO, the best meat is from your local farmer. A lot of you guys probably live in bigger metro areas but here in 'rural' MN, the best meat is always from my local farmer/rancher friends.
