Coach should be named by Dec 17, the 6 candidates will be trimmed down to 2 or 3 by the weekend. On campus interviews next week.

That's a good date. Nice Christmas present for the one chosen, and plenty of time to develop a staff, publish the philosophy, recruit, and be ready to implement the system in time for Spring Ball.

The three finalists are Jenkins, Spady, and Odums. Interviews will be held this week.

This job is Jenkins' to lose (or turn down. Consider it an "FBS-in-practice" internship. He's still young, give him five years and a few SWAC titles, whoop on Dougie Fresh in the rivalry game, an FBS upset or two and he'll get an FBS offer down the line.

I'd be happy with any of the three finalists, I'm intrigued by Spady.

This guy Spady was the O-Line coach for Grambling 07-09.

My mistake I said he was the offensive line coach he was the co-ordinator for Grambling under Melvin Spears 07-09.Footballs will be flying threw the air if he is elected as the coach.

I think Spady, will get the job his resume ,includes just what the doctor ordered he was the O-Line coach at Nevada.Just hope he doesn't ,get bogged down with running so much that he forgets the friendly skies every now and then.

Now that a coach has been named, time to continue on the recruiting trail. Congrats to Coach Odums. He took a good step beating JSU, FAMU, and Grambling in the same season for the first time since '96. Now we just gotta beat everybody else

Yes that would help and find a decent QB.

We have statistically the top QB in the league. But the staff is working hard to land a replacement for him.

As stated before too bad Rivers isn't playing for your school he at 6-6 220 has the necessary size to play at the next level.
