The whole putting a hand on the Bible and the "I [state your name]" thing is kind antiquated and dumb. Just do away with inaugurations all together.

Have the Oval Office ready when the new president comes in on January 20th with a short "contract" stating the signee agrees to preserve, protect, defend the Contitution sitting on his desk. He sits down and signs it. White House photographer takes a picture. Done deal.

They did and they actually did correct it after (not televised). I felt bad for CJ Roberts. He's a very smart guy and very nice.
