If you are done with your small-minded racist rant...please show me where I blamed single black mothers. I'm sure, once again, that you will be able to show me that quote.

I'll be waiting for an answer to that one...and, if you don't mind, an answer to my original question...if you can muster the intelligence to actually respond with something outside of your narrow, racist, view. :coffee:

Nice dig with the latent sexual tendencies! I do get a kick out of hypocrites who like to pass themselves off as open-minded liberals but get all lathered up when people with radically different opinions express those opinions (whatever happened to freedom of expression?).

And Cluck's a overly sensitive prick with a vagina ... that's an interesting image.
True. I should have said own fears and/or latent homosexual tendencies and/or religious leanings. None of which are legitimate reasons to be bigoted toward gay people.

And of course libs can be hypocritical with this stuff. But I don't think that applies to dback here.

It's been my experience that many who posses vagina's can be overly sensitive...and pricks. But I'm just busing the pot-stirrers chops a little here. No harm intended. :thumb:

Oh...and Flaggy's "turn the other ass cheek" comment...
I was actually complementing you on the dig, it was a good one.

I've never met dback but based on what I've seen here I think he's a good guy and it would be good to have a beer or two with him. I also support gay marriage and gay rights. But, I do think he can be a little intolerant of others. While I support gay rights, I also understand how someone could interpret the bible to prohibit homosexuality and oppose those things. I disagree with them but understand and respect their position. I think dback takes their opposition personally and doesn't respect their opinions. I expect good Christians and good open-minded liberals to both be tolerant and hospitable to others regardless of their views or who they are.

dback and everyone else should have the same legal rights and anyone who opposes that idea is a narrow minded bigot.

I completely agree with you. Someone can oppose homosexuality on religious grounds but they shouldn't hate the homosexual and they shouldn't try to deny them their rights.

Ill also add the U.S. Navy Sea Wolf Fast Attack Sunmarine. They only built one.............lol
What's the 4th? The Seawolf was cancelled in the 1990's. And the M4? The USMC loves the M4 and the Army is searching for a replacement. Can you provide a source, I'd like to read up on what you have seen.

As for the submarines, they actually built three submarines: USS Seawolf, USS Connecticut and USS Jimmy Carter. The original order was 29 but 26 were cancelled. They were cancelled due to the end of the Cold War and budget constraints ($33.6 billion program). The Virginia class submarines are the successors of the Los Angeles class submarines. The Virginia class is planned for 33, with 9 already built and active and 5 under construction.

The DoD has been very serious about cutting waste since 2008 and has done a good job. (I say 2008 because that is when I got involved). From where I am within the DoD, I have seen many programs and projects scrapped due to cost and necessity. Also, the business rules are changing as well as the PM mindset. My own program has reduced costs by a mandatory 23% over the last 3 years.

If this was he case, why is there a ungoing investigation about the multi-cam BDU's. Secondly, why does each service have a differnt Multi-cam uniform? That goes against the word UNIFORM!!!!!!

Klean, I suggest you take the experts advice. :coffee: There are still projects and programs working that need to be re scoped and/or eliminated. The DoD has been working on this list. Additionally, with BRAC and the Joint Base program, we've saved tons of money as well as reduced duplicate positions in the same locations.

What is your profession? Do you have insight into the DoD aside from what the MSM tells you? Some of us on here live it every day. There is still waste, there will always be waste. But the Gov't is changing and has been for years.
Spoiler: show
I don't boast or brag what I do, but I have saved approx. $40M in the last 3 years on my own project. That is just the forced budget cuts that I had to work and does not include the contract negotiations and modifications to ensure Gov't contractors aren't milking the Gov't. Before that, I advised and oversaw the reduction of $300M inventory, in just one location. Like I said and Kalm confirmed, the DoD has been working on this for a while.

First, it's "ongoing." Second, the digicam BDUs vary due to service and theater of operation. It makes no sense for sailors, on the blue ocean, to be dressed in tan or OD. Now, I do agree that the uniform should be the same for all service, with just different colors. But the technology that goes into those uniforms is incredible and has one purpose: save the life of the soldier, sailor or Marine. Besides, the main criticism of the digicam BDU is it's weight, especially when in theaters of war like Iraq and Afghanistan.

I was in The U.S. Army from 1993 to 1999. and I was a Federal Probation Officer from 2000 until 2005. I have my own company. I have seen the object waste first hand. Now I would like to belive this but its the DOD=CASH COW!!!!! Its hard to teach an old dawg new tricks.

If you ae older than 40+ you would remember the Sgt. York Project..Waste!
Coast Guard Deep Water project..The damn boad leaked..................lol
The one I seen first hand. I have a Step Brother was an Naval Officer and his first duty station was Key West, FL. He was stationed on a Pegasus hydrofoil ship, basically, a PT Boat on steroids. In 1993, the navy decommissioned the ships. The Coast Guard requested that the ships be transferred to them so they could keep up with the drug dealer using fast boats. The Navy was fine with the idea. However, the DOD said NO, we will mothball them and buy the CG 10 new small boats. Now, these new and expensive boats could not keep up with the Drug Dealers and they were under armed.

I'm not familiar with the CG programs/projects so I'm not sure what is up with that. However, the Dept. of Navy (to include the USMC) has made great strides to reduce costs and realize savings. It isn't a perfect system and won't be fixed overnight but we are on the right path.

What was your MOS?

I'm not familiar with the CG programs/projects so I'm not sure what is up with that. However, the Dept. of Navy (to include the USMC) has made great strides to reduce costs and realize savings. It isn't a perfect system and won't be fixed overnight but we are on the right path.
Question, why does the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps have a different Multi-cam BDU??

The old MOS was 95B. Now 31B or I would have been 31A

My business has a DOD contract and I can tell you from personal experience that this is completely true. Comments like these might be why so many people think you're a douche.
If this was he case, why is there a ungoing investigation about the multi-cam BDU's. Secondly, why does each service have a differnt Multi-cam uniform? That goes against the word UNIFORM!!!!!!
Jesus, are you THAT stupid? The Marine multi-cam "uniform" is different than the Army "uniform" so you can tell the difference between fighting men and those that weren't good enough to be Marines. :coffee:

That'd be b/c the USMC wants to remain unique. However, the USMC used the Army's design for decades and now the Army is looking into using the MARPAT.

So what is your business now that gives you great insight into DoD budgetting?
