Hornets pulled off a win on the road and rallied from being down 16 at UCA. Hornets move to 4-1 and have a D2 exhibition next on the schedule.

RPI Update
According to realtimerpi, the Big Sky is rated a rather poor 28th. in the RPI (& that's up from a couple days ago). Montana is rated a surprisingly high 38th., but Weber—however—is ranked dead last in the nation.
On the other hand, the women's Big Sky is doing quite well & is ranked 12th. in the RPI. That's 6th. among non majors. ISU & MSU are in the top 70 while EWU, NoDak, Montana, & Suutah are all in the top half. For SUU & UND that's particularly surprising since the T-Birds are supposed to be near the bottom and the Former Sioux are currently winless.
It's still early, of course, but—due to the expanded conference schedule—close to half of the non-conference games are already complete. That's a lousy sign for the men's teams, but a very good one for the women.

Man, this conference is terrible. If my math is correct conference teams are a combined 8-34 vs D1 teams. That's a .190 winning percentage.

And it doesnt get any easier this week, got some tough road games this week.
Weber State @ Dayton
Montana @ BYU (I wonder if this is on tv)
Northern Arizona @ Arizona
Southern Utah @ TCU
North Dakota @ South Dakota State
Which team has the best shot at a win? if any.

Most all the games have been on road so far, so that doesn't help.WeberAlum02 wrote:Man, this conference is terrible. If my math is correct conference teams are a combined 8-34 vs D1 teams. That's a .190 winning percentage.

And amazingly for the first time ever, Sac State has not been the main offender in this. We are 3-1 in D1 games, but we do have a tough one at AZ State next week and then at SJSU as well.WeberAlum02 wrote:Man, this conference is terrible. Re: Big Sky Basketball - 2012-13
Weber played really well in the 2nd half, and was able to hang on despite very questionable calls by the zebras
Montana is much better than the score indicates, I watched the game last night. If UM had Cherry it really could have been a lot different, not to mention the notorious BYU officiating was present, it's no secret why Weber is 0-18 against BYU away from the Dee. However, BYU is always a really tough team to beat, I hope Weber can pull it off on Dec 15th

Weber went from Dead last (347) in RPI to 149 with that win.

That was only Weber's third DI game, so there's obviously a lot of variance. They have 1 road win & 2 road losses; road wins are worth 1.4 wins while road losses are worth .6 losses. So, in other words, Weber's winning percentage went from 0% to 53.8% overnight.AZGrizFan wrote:And that makes me immediately question their mathematics model.Wildcat Ryan wrote:
