That might not even happen depending on who they play in round 1.

I'm Lafayette's biggest fan right now. I want to see Indiana State make the field, not some horribly overrated Lehigh squad getting in because they have 10 wins against a terrible schedule.
Yes, because what the playoffs needs is more 3 loss teams. It's better to lose three times than to go 10-1 against a "terrible schedule".
It is better to test yourself and prove that you deserve to get an at-large. If a team wants an auto they can schedule the softest schedule on Earth for all I care but if you want an at-large you better do something to say you deserve to get in, especially when there are a bevy of 8-3 teams from power conferences with solid resumes.

How do you know that it's a power conference? Because its teams perform well if the playoffs each year?
Lehigh has won playoff games each on the laft two years, both on the road.

There aren't enough regular season games to accurately determine just how good a conference is. You won't know until the playoffs. In the mean time you have to look at what little bit information you have, and part of the information is historical playoff performance. It's not like the Patriot rep gets blown out every year.

They are power conferences because their teams have won national titles and have sent multiple teams deep into the playoffs over and over again. Plus they perform well in non-conference play.

The PL has done nothing to show it is a good league this year.

Against who?

Exactly. That is why those on the west coast bitch about the patsy first round teams the south and east get. :tothehand:
Did you read the thread? How about just my posts? Lets try his again:

Lehigh has won playoff games at UNI and Towson the last two years. That's a CAA team and an MVFC team.

West Coast Ignorance. :ohno:
That 2010 UNI team would get straighted rolled through by this years UNI team...fwiw

How could they? The playoffs haven't started yet. By your own admission, it's the post season accomplishments that determine if a conference is a power conference or not.

I would love a chance to head up to Lehigh in the first round to return the favor of advancing to the next roud. Gotta beat UNH first though. Which aint no small task.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
