We do?

I agree that the timing is fishy, but it's quite a stretch to think that Romney knew about this months ago.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like the affair began after he became CIA director.
It doesn't really matter. What does matter is that Obama has know about it since the FBI discovered it. There is no way the FBI would keep that from the president. The question is why would Obama sit on it until now? Why expose him only days before his testimony on Benghazi.

It doesn't take much imagination to believe that Obama used the information to blackmail him into lying before Congress. Petraeus apparently refused to lie and decided to remove Obama's leverage by going public about his infidelity, himself.

Obama clearly has much to hide about Benghazi and his Syrian gun running operation. Hillary has legal counsel and refuses to testify before Congress. Petraeus resigns and will not testify (until subpoenaed). The wagons are being circled around Obama and he's looking a little desperate. He survived Fast & Furious, but Benghazi is a hell of a lot bigger. He might not survive this.

Poor choice of words on my part. If Petraeus was vetted by Romney this would have come out and he would have been off the list. I have no idea if he really was vetted.

Do you know what the exact timeline is for this? You've clearly already convicted Obama, do you have any facts? Or are you basing everything on your imagination?

We sell weapons to anybody who can move enough drugs to pay the bill and we out our own CIA agents. So tell me why this is such a big deal?

Huh? What is stopping them? We have a donk President now, and Petraeus resigned. You're just making stuff up.
Thought the part about him having morals would make it pretty obvious.

Here is what I know. The attack last more than 7 hours. Within minutes after the attack began, DoD, CIA, State and AfriCom all knew of the attack. Within an hour after the beginning of the attack, we had at least one drone overhead providing live feeds of the attack. Transmissions from inside the compound were being sent throughout the attack until the compound was overrun. There is no possible way that Obama did not know of the situation shortly after Petraeus, Panetta and Clinton knew of it. I have read that SecDef was in the White House briefing Obama about an hour after the attack. Obama had access to the same live video feed that everyone else had. He also had access to the same emails and secure communications that everyone else had.

AfriCom and Centcom had AC-130 gunships available. We had a carrier battle group in the Med. We had an entire airborne brigade in Italy. AfriCom had assets available to put boots on the ground and evacuate our people by air. Seven hours is plenty of time to employ any or all of these assets.

So what the fuck was Obama doing for at least six hours? Why did he not give a green light to a rescue operation? Why did he let them die?

We'll probably have to wait until some SEAL writes a book about it to find out.

Since we deal in fantasy now, maybe J.K. Rowling can write a book about it.

Don't hold your breath on that one...

There are currently 7 SEAL's that are in trouble for having helped in the development of the newly released video game; Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

Apparently, Mike Owen's book, No Easy Day has also caused quite a shit storm. It was a terrific read, and I never really understood all the flack surrounding it's release!??!

When/if a SEAL writes a book about Petraeus' indiscretion, I'll read it!

I made SEALs fold in cycling. Actually quite fun. There is something about doling out versus receiving punishment. Of course if it had involved guns, I don't think I would have fared too well.

I don't understand A LOT of what's goin' on here! I'm HONESTLY not trying to sound stupid, or ill-informed by the below questions! So, please, help a brother out!??!

If Petraeus knew that the news of his extramarital affair was gonna' come out any way, why didn't he just keep his position at the CIA? Then, when the time came for him to testify in front of Congress, he could have said what he need to about what when down in Benghazi?

Same here. In his forward he states he had a lawyer read through it and ensure no sensitive info was released.

Other than the high profile target, I don't understand why Owen got all the heat he did...unless it was a marketing ploy!
