Exactly.

Stock Market = Casino (you might get better odds at your local casino these days though :| )
Hey, I won $380 last night at the casino! 8-) 8-) 8-)

We are not connecting this to the election, see previous posts.

Thing is, it doesn't seem like the market is even connected to the real world these days. Europe is in something akin to a death spiral, China is slamming the brakes on its economy, and saying our own economy is crawling forward is heavily optimistic. And yet the market has been churning along nicely for the past several years.

I don't care what threads you post. Just saying... you obviously were linking the stock market to politics in some way. Just wondering in what way... :coffee:

Look here...
When the Stock Market is down it's because the Liberals are doing something to make that happen
When the Stock Market is up it's because The Conservatives have triumphed against all odds

I just did a search on "Stock Market" and a huge majority of them are in the Politics form.

The Politics Forum seems to be for any topic that could be divisive and business/stock market fits that category - it could lead to some back-and-forth where you need your "big boy pants" because you might take a little heat.
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Thank you for your attention to this matter - UNI88

Btw I think I was the only one that directly tied Wednesdays drop with the election. And I still think I'm right.

I'd rather work for my 'things' in life.

Of the top 10 countries in life span, only 3 are in Europe. The US is in the top 10 for standard of living. But I guess you like the European model of high taxation and less work. That is why these countries (Greece-Spain-Portugal-Cyprus...others) have such social unrest.....people want their entitlements even though their governments cannot afford them. He**....what is France's ave work week? 30-32 hrs or something like that. LOL....I have that in by wednesday.....

America was built on hard work, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. Looks like I am in the minority thinking that hard-work will lead to a better life for me and my daughters. I guess I should just let the gov take care of me...why not...everyone else expects it..... :ohno:

Oh. My bad. You seem to know so much about what living in Europe is like that I thought you had actually lived there.

The top 20 countries with the highest personal incomes tax all are in Europe. Belgium-Germany-France are the highest with 50% or higher. But all those countries have considerably lower corporate tax rates compared to the US.
