Christie has always said that he wanted to get NJ over the hump before he left office voluntarily. At the rate he is going, he will do all he can do in another 2 years. The policies of the Obama Administration, whether good or bad, will control things from there. The timing is set up for him.

I've gained a lot of respect for Christie over the past week or so.

I'm happy Obama won just so we can see if Christie can get the Republican party back to normalcy.

Sandy was very good to Christie and his good friend, the President.

My thoughts too. My thinking is that until the Republicans put up a candidate in the mold of AuH2O, they are going to continue losing national elections. They can't put up these so-called "fiscally conservative"/socially bat-shit-crazy candidates and win.

Christie's the first moderate conk who has any chance of surviving the primary process with his views intact. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen. But oh boy wouldn't you just luv to see him in the general against Biden or Hilary...

I don't see him making it...
Here's why

If I like the guy and would vote for him - how can he survive the Republican Nut House..?
I'm a Liberal who thinks Christie is a worthy candidate
That alone will signal the death of him

He might not survive the primary votes, but he'd certainly tear Newt n' gang a collective set of new ones during the debates...

Nice try. The country changes, and a candidate like him would be much more effective at winning campaigns today than he was in the 60's. Um, that should be quite clear.

Christie can start his campaigning by walking to all 48 contiguous states and Alaska and then swimming to Hawaii. That ought to take off a few pounds.

Exactly. Which is why my post, that you responded to, said "my thoughts exactly." I agreed with hoping Christie bring normalcy back to the Republican Party. Perhaps you misread my original post.

He won't survive the primaries if NJ's unemployment rate stays at 9.8%

Can't he blame on it Corzine, or Obama? Seems to work on the presidential level. :D
