As a Redskins fan I am sad to say that their losses are very regular. You can set your watch by them. But the only folks helped by their losses are those selling alcohol in the DC metro area. Romney will not be a beneficiary of Redskins incompetence.

I've been comparing the election to 2004 for quite a while. The "Redskins Rule" didn't hold true in 2004 either, this could just go down as another similiarity between the two elections.

i just do not see that happening. that will likely mean romney wins ohio, florida, PA. do you really think he will garner enough votes to win the popular vote but not enough for the electoral college? yes it happened in 2000 but if romney wins the popular vote i think it is very likely wins the EC

Under this scenario I see Romney taking VA, FL, NH, and WI with Obama taking OH, PA, CO, NV, IA, & MI. If Romney carries any of the states I have listed above in the Obama column he will win the electoral vote, but I don't see him doing so. The race has tightened in the states Obama will take more so than in the ones Romney will win, giving Romney the popular vote.
