Jeezus... I just voted for Jill Stein
This is how far I've been pushed out into the weeds by our present system
I just filled out my Washington State voters ballot card and selected Jill Stein as my choice for President
The one Shocker on my card:
I voted for a Republican Rob McKenna for governor
The rest of my choices were for Democrats and Liberals
I voted to decriminalize pot
To balance the Washington State budget
Charter schools

I voted for Obama, George Allen, and Rob Wittman. The more the executive and legislative branches keep each other in check, the better. IMO, disagreeing branches = less government = good.

Yes... Approve 74 (obviously) I mean I could hardly call myself a Liberal if I didn't
besides I need something to piss off JohnStWrong
and Inslee is a criminal - I couldn't endorse him

I'd vote for her before voting for Obama or Romney. The ONLY reason you'd vote for her over Obama or Romney is she has the luxury of sitting in the weeds and not having to get her hands dirty in an actual bid for anything.

The green party is just too liberal for me. I'm all for third parties and indies but not the fringe ones. Gary Johnson is basically the closest thing to a serious centrist third-partier that we have. If he were a true libertarian I wouldn't support him.

Much of the rest is non-specific filler that every candidate has. IIRC when I took the who do you side with test I was even 30% in agreement with Jill Stein. I would expect a liberal to be 60%+, but too many of her ideas are absolute shit.Skjellyfetti wrote:That's not her entire platform... he probably agrees with more of her platform than he disagrees. No, I'd vote for her over the other two b/c her foreign policy and civil liberty positions align pretty closely with mine, unlike Obamney. On the economy and the role of government, not even close, but neither do Obamney.89Hen wrote:12GSUhooligan wrote:I'd vote for her before voting for Obama or Romney. We'd still be spending 2x what China, the #2 country in military spending, spends.89Hen wrote: •Cut the bloated Pentagon budget by 50%.![]()

Don't agree with this one either, but probably for the opposite reason you do; I don't think we should be meddling at all, much less "requiring" countries to do anything.89Hen wrote: •Create a nuclear free zone in the Middle East region and require all nations in area to join.![]()
Not sure about an all out ban, but using them in countries that we have not declared war on is un-American. Also, until they greatly improve their accuracy I do not like them being used in urban areas at all. Far too many cases of collateral damage which only creates more terrorists.89Hen wrote:•Ban use of drone aircraft for assassination, bombing, and other offensive purposes.![]()

The National Guard as our centerpiece is not even comical, it's idiotic.
I'm laughing at the notion that we can just tell Iran, Israel and other countries to be nuclear free.
Why BAN the use of a strategic asset that keeps our men safe?
Having bases abroad is an important strategic presence.
