The Hornets seem to have a major case of fumblitis tonight. They were driving pretty well on the Mustang D to open the game, when a wide open receiver in the flat turns around, gets hit, and coughs it up. CP picked it up and took it inside the five, putting it in one play later. Then Norrisse coughed it up around midfield, resulting in a FG.

CP 10-0, c. 7 min left 1Q.

10-7 CP after 1st qtr. Hornets gifted CP a free 10 points so we have a hole to dig ourselves out of. Just stopped CP on 4th and 2 inside the Hornet 10. Hornets driving.

21-10 Sac State up 7:47 left in the 2nd qtr. CP defense is nonexistent at this point.

Ezekiel Graham up the middle for about a 15-yard TD following a huge facemask call on CP. Garrett Safron's helmet was ripped off and his jersey nearly was on the keeper.

Well, at least CP made the right call on the one yard line. I'm sick to death of seeing teams get stuffed in the backfield going for a handoff with no OL push....

28-17 Sac at half. Safron has been in the zone and CP can't stop anything the Hornets run. CP has gotten their bearing on offense as well. This is going to be a dog fight. Man that gift 10 points is the only thing keeping CP in this one so far. 2nd half will be a doozy.

I'm not so sure about that, SD. Other than mental breakdowns on that 76-yard run and that last-play deal with Broadus, CP hasn't gotten much of anything that wasn't generated by a Hornet turnover. If our defenders keep their heads on straight and the fumblitis has ended, we could be looking at a huge upset.

Of course, now I've probably jinxed us....

Of course, now I've probably jinxed us....

Their last TD drive was off of a punt. And don't expect the Hornets to keep them under wraps for the whole game. As we jsut saw on that last run and the other big run on the previous drive that set up their TD, they can break a big one and get right back in it.

Sure wish the Mustangs Mustangs would have kicked the FG on 4th and 2 from the 10. 28-20 would be much more manageable. Saffron is on fire.

UCA is up 31-14 over undefeated (in SLC play) SELA with less than 4 min left. I believe CM predicted something like this happening....

Terrible call. Huge swing in the game at that moment. I honestly think it was because he under-estimates our front 4.
