The last time I tried that with someone, they immediately crapped out, and are nowhere in sight now, Jon. Do I really wanna take that chance?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Portland State at Cal Poly
All Cal Poly does is find ways to win. Portland State brought their A game and Cal Poly still found a way to win. If that hurts them in the polls so be it. I look forward to seeing Cal Poly in the playoffs.SuperHornet wrote:There's a logjam in front of them. And THIS performance isn't going to help....dbackjon wrote:

My take on this game is simple---
Walsh has not varied his coaching much since he left PSU. I thought I was watching a highlight reel of PSU back in the late 1990's and early 2000's with Dunn and Fuqua and Rubin running and running and running. The Mustangs run and run hard at you. The way to beat them is win the time of possession, otherwise you will be hurt and tired with another quarter of that to go. If you win the time of possession, you are fresher in the fourth than if you spent most of the first three getting pounded like that. The Mustangs are not overrated at all, they are that good.

So you are going to base your poll out of fear?SuperHornet wrote:The last time I tried that with someone, they immediately crapped out, and are nowhere in sight now, Jon. Do I really wanna take that chance?

yea, he runs the triple option that's why he was there. The service academies pretty much have to because of size restrictions on recruits do to service protocol.JALMOND wrote:My take on this game is simple---

He didn't run the triple option at PSU, though. They ran more of a run-first west coast attack.oceanvue wrote:yea, he runs the triple option that's why he was there. Walsh apparently still likes to pound the opposition into oblivion, though. Fortunately the Griz have had good run defenses the vast majority of the time, so they were able to prevent the Viks from doing that most of the time while Walsh was there.
