Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
If the trend of the first two possessions holds the entire game, look for this to be a shootout. Neither defense has shown up so far. Adams is shredding us through the air, and Graham is running wild on the Eastern defense...IF he can get past the DL. In fact, the DL may be the only decent part of your defense so far. But Adams and your receivers are likely to mitigate that issue. They're KILLING us right now....

It's time for a Markell Wiiliams blindside special to jar the ball loose from the frosh QB...
Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
Way to spot the ball a full yard ahead of where the runner goes down...
Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
That was insane. Great play, bad tackling, but better play.

Great job by Adams. I'm not convinced of the mask call, but his avoidance of the sack at least THREE times on that play EARNED a TD, bad call or not. Give that one COMPLETELY to Adams (and to the receiver for getting open just enough).

That was sick. I thought he was going to get sacked about 5 times on that play.

Sac just had to punt. Given the way this game is going, that could mean the game....

These spots on third down for the eagles are really pissing me off.
Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
My guess is whichever team has the ball last, wins. One thing I have noticed is that Adams seems to have a ton of time to throw. Sac doing a good job against the run.SuperHornet wrote:Sac just had to punt. Given the way this game is going, that could mean the game....

Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
Great punt by EWU. That's what I like to see on punts: to the corner. I'm SICK of punters trying to hang it over the goal line, just hoping that their coverange team can save it from going in. Yeah, the 1 yard line is great, but I'll gladly sacrifice 5-10 yards to see the ball roll out between the 5 and the 15.
Good work, Eagles.

Yeah, he's a RS Frosh. He has some streaks of brilliance and then a couple WTF plays here and there, like a Freshman would. But overall, he's done really well and playing above his experience level.Kadeezy wrote:I'm thoroughly impressed with Adams so far. What a gem, 3 more years?!?EWURanger wrote:

Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
Safron's starting to throw behind people. I'm not liking that very much. Yes, there are times where a back-shoulder throw is effective, but these are situations where leading the receiver is more important....

Padron?! Why tinker?!
Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
And another magical 3 yards for EWU under the guise of "forward progress".

Re: #1 EWU vs. #30 Sac State
They're probably getting the backup some snaps during real game action AND getting Adams a different perspective. That could be valuable for Adams if he goes back in on the next series. Additionally, if Adams goes down later in the season, Padron won't exactly be coming in cold.

GD, catch the frickin ball. Neither of those plays are on Padron.

That one with two defenders around PLUS a wrong-route receiver was pretty amazing....

So...so far this hasn't been quite the shoot-out I expected.
