It's not that they don't have a few players--- there's some talent there--- but their gameplanning was horrific, they made Eastern look like the playground bully with a lack of toughness, and when they went down by more than 2 TDs they rolled over and quit. There were so many indicators of a team in freefall, you couldn't possibly miss them all.
You do know the UND-NAU game is in Grand Forks, and its homecoming right? We are very tough at home. Very few teams has won in our building in fact Cal Poly gave UND its 12th loss since it opened in 2001. Also UND is not going to lay down and die, not when there is still a shot at playoffs. They are going to go out and fight. EWU will find out what its like to play in Grand Forks next season. Its no picnic.
You're right. Picnics are usually outdoors. :coffee:

I'm aware. I just saw a lot of ugly things from the UND team last week. Eastern hasn't been out-physical-ing many teams this season except Idaho, but looked light years tougher than UND. They dropped like flies out there. Plus, when the going got tough, they really packed it in. I was almost shocked how badly they looked like they were just going through the motions in the second half of that game. Teams that do that one week seldom get back to form the next.

Agreed. Very poor showing by UND last weekend after a couple folks proclaimed they'd be competing for the Big Sky title in year one. I don't see them beating NAU regardless of what their record at home is.

Wait, there's another football team in North Dakota? ;)

Well glad to know that all you were basically wrong about my T-Birds! Hell of a game, first time I was able to see a game in Washington Grizzly Stadium and it was a T-Bird win. You Montana fans were a great bunch to be around, thanks for the hospitality, hopefully this win will start giving us some respect in the Big Sky since this is probably one of the biggest wins in progam history! :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words, Tbird! :thumb: :thumb:

Today, the best coached team on the field deserved, and got the win!

SUU 31 @ 35 UM
SUU 30 @ 20 UM - Knew SUU was good for it, didn't think they'd pull it off though.
EWU 34 @ 27 MSU
EWU 27 @ 24 MSU - Lower scoring than I thought, but otherwise pretty close.
NAU 38 @ 28 UND
NAU 45 @ 38 UND - Surprised NAU gave up that much, but they still got the win.
UCD 24 @ 17 ISU
UCD 52 @ 45 ISU - Again, surprised scoring was this high. UCD's defense has taken a hit.
WSU 35 @ 30 SAC
WSU 14 @ 19 SAC - WSU threatened to pull off the upset, but never pulled the trigger.
UNC 10 @ 35 CP
UNC 28 @ 56 CP - CP must have had 2nd or 3rd strings in at the end of this one.

4-2, brings me to 49-10 on the year.

JALMOND wrote:After a disastrous last two weeks picking these games, I am at 43-10 for the season and need to pick it up this week. Six games and no Portland State so my picks are truly objective. Here are my predictions for this weekend. Have at them.

EWU at MSU---The game of the week between the two top teams of the season so far. The Eagles practiced for the game with a blowout at home against North Dakota while the Bobcats recovered against Southern Utah. Fairly even on paper, go with the home team...MSU 38, EWU 35.

NAU at UND---The Lumberjacks had momentum going in to their bye week last week while UND got a rude welcome at Eastern Washington. Bye weeks can sometimes kill momentum and UND's dome is not too kind towards the visitors...UND 34, NAU 32.

UNC at CP---The Mustangs continue to fly in the shadow of both Montana State and Eastern Washington, having dispatched Weber State last week. The Bears continue to make things interesting but cannot break through for that elusive conference victory...CP 28, UNC 17.

SUU at UM---The Thunderbirds fell last week at home to Sacramento State while the reeling Grizzlies put away a stubborn Northern Colorado squad. Best to let the Thunderbirds know that, even during a so-so year, the Grizzlies are still tough at home...UM 38, SUU 31.

UCD at ISU---The Aggies should have had a better result than what they got last week at home against Montana State as they have managed to put points on the board. However, their usually stingy defense gave up a lot. Now they go to Idaho State who, after last week's ambush at Portland State, well, maybe they show up...UCD 25, ISU 10.

WSU at Sac State---The Hornets surprised some last week, getting a win on the road at Southern Utah. Maybe not too surprising as they also beat Idaho State on the road. They did struggle at home against North Dakota. The Wildcats tried to stay with Cal Poly last week to no avail. What happens here?...Sac State 28, WSU 21.
This is sickening. 3-3 again, 46-13 for the year. Embarrassing.
