Oh...I realize that the reality is we won't do it. We are too "moral." But think about how it would be if we weren't. Think about the capability to inflict death and destruction that we have.

Jive this notion with a pro life position for us.

Our troops all over the world would be under attack. Our embassies would burn.

I really, really don't think those two things would happen if we'd just shown that we were willing to wipe out about 75 million people because a country pissed us off.

You might have some moral reservations about it. But one thing that would NOT happen is people getting aggressive with us. Not people in what we call the "Muslim World" anyway. We might have trouble with Russia. But we've been through that before. We both know we can wipe each other out along with the rest of the world and that influences our action with respect to each other.

But no other nation is in the position with respect to us as Russia is in those terms. Not even China. At least not yet. Some other nations have a few nukes but they are hopelessly outgunned in those terms.

If we were to show that we are willing to just wipe countries out for messing with us countries would not mess with us because we are indeed capable of just wiping them out.

Until other countries acquired that capability themselves. You'd be the first to whine if you survived a Chinese pre-emptive nuclear strike.
