I think the Griz have to be good for a win over them to cause a hangover. :coffee:

In 2009 when we went undefeated, every team won the following week after playing us. (Excluding MSU and playoff teams  )

I thought the "hangover" factor only came into effect if the other team beat the Griz...then lost their following game.

I should also add that traditionally we have played UM and MSU in back to back weeks, which has probably contributed some in the past. I'm not sure when the last time was that we beat both schools in the same year. 2005 maybe.

To be honest, I went through and checked back in 2010 (I could probably find that post if I tried) about this effect in the last 10 years, and it seems teams win only about 39% of their games following playing us.

As ridiculous as some Griz fans sound with it, there does (at least historically) seem to be a hangover following playing the Griz. (The glaring exception being 2009)
