Montana Takes on the Paper-Mache Gauntlet
Over the next 4 weeks, the Griz play the bottom 4 teams in the Big Sky in run defense:
vs. SUU - 200.5 ypg
@ UND - 232.7 ypg
vs. ISU - 351.2 ypg
@ WEB - 224.5 ypg
Can Montana take advantage and get to the 'Cat game with a 7-3 record?
vs. SUU - 200.5 ypg
@ UND - 232.7 ypg
vs. ISU - 351.2 ypg
@ WEB - 224.5 ypg
Can Montana take advantage and get to the 'Cat game with a 7-3 record?

Depends on whether the FIRST half Griz or the SECOND half Griz show up.

Limit the turnovers and UM runs the table against those opponents. SUU will be on a massive Hornet hangover so they will still be recovering for next weeks game. The rest should be wins. Only chance at a loss is at UND but they look to have cooled off since their hot start to the season.

IMO....the Grizz end up 8-3. Those next 4 games should all be wins. Run the ball right at them and make them stop the run....and it looks like they cannot.

It's funny how only two weeks ago we were exclusively a first half team.AZGrizFan wrote:Depends on whether the FIRST half Griz or the SECOND half Griz show up.
These past two weeks the staff has impressed me with their adjustments in the second half (that double kickoff debacle notwithstanding
Re: Montana Takes on the Paper-Mache Gauntlet
Yes. And as much as it hurts to say it, the conference needs them to. None of the above have a legit shot at the playoffs. If the Griz can finish out the season at 7-4, the Big Sky has a good shot at 4 teams in the playoffs. My guess is Cal Poly, MSU, EWU, and either NAU or Montana. You also can't count out Sac at this point.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Over the next 4 weeks, the Griz play the bottom 4 teams in the Big Sky in run defense:

Hell, there's even at outside shot the Sky gets 5 teams in.

Re: Montana Takes on the Paper-Mache Gauntlet
If we take care of the ball and the coaches make smart decisions, we should roll all of these teams. It could get really ugly when the bowling ball comes back.
Re: Montana Takes on the Paper-Mache Gauntlet
If you make it through the next 2 game you will be OK, however SUU will be a test, yest they are a bit streaky, but Sorenson is for real, and they are pretty damn solid. UND evidently melted on the red turf, but I think they will give you a tough game in their house.

I love it, when we throttle a decent team, we didn't beat them down, they just melted down.cats2506 wrote:If you make it through the next 2 game you will be OK, however SUU will be a test, yest they are a bit streaky, but Sorenson is for real, and they are pretty damn solid. Agreed. Nobody is going to stop your rushing attack and if your defense continues to improve, you will be a vary dangerous team.Grizalltheway wrote:If we take care of the ball and the coaches make smart decisions, we should roll all of these teams. not really, lets see how that young qb reacts to a little adversity on the road.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Better than squeaking by weak ass teams like the #2 Paper-Cats.cats2506 wrote:

Unlike the CAA, where the first place team gives up 1,203 yards per game.89Hen wrote:"Big Sky" and "Paper-Mache Gauntlet" are synonymous.
