What a messed up game...

“We didn’t have a man or woman in the drone,” Trump explained to a confused America. “We had nobody in the drone. It would have made a big difference, let me tell you. It would have made a big, big difference.”

Why did NoCo get the kickoff to start the second half? They started with the ball in the first half, too.

Griz deferred then took the wind in the second, I think.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Why did NoCo get the kickoff to start the second half? They started with the ball in the first half, too.

You don't do that unless there's like a 30 mph wind in your face. Lider had no trouble with the FG at the end of the half. Not to mention you have to kick to Gunn, who's pretty much the only weapon they have.
Re: Montana @ UNC
This might be a silly question....but how the fuck did Montana end up kicking off in both halves?

I don't know for sure. I thought the Bears had the ball at the start, too. That's the only reason I can think of.Mvemjsunpx wrote:There's wind?JALMOND wrote:

From everything I've read, the Griz did choose to kickoff both halves.JALMOND wrote:I don't know for sure. I thought the Bears had the ball at the start, too. That's the only reason I can think of.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Re: Montana @ UNC
Seriously, I didn't even realize that kicking off both halves was even an option. Never seen that before.

Re: Montana @ UNC
Nguyen somehow stays in bounds & scores despite a bad pitch from McKinney.

It's a little known rule. You can also choose to kick (instead of receive) if your team is scored on.EWURanger wrote:Seriously, I didn't even realize that kicking off both halves was even an option. Never seen that before.

Yep. Apparently you see it sometimes during HS games in central MT due to the constant, oppressive wind.EWURanger wrote:Seriously, I didn't even realize that kicking off both halves was even an option. Never seen that before.

We did once when I was at Rocky Mountain College. We were playing in Bismarck, ND (U of Mary) with a very strong wind. Punts would go 70 yards in one direction and just die in the air going the other.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Yep. You don't see it too often, however.

Re: Montana @ UNC
One thing I've noticed is that NoCo is running the play clock all the way down pretty much every play. Trying to shorten the game to stay in the game as long as possible is my guess.

Limiting possessions, I'm thinking. The Ducks see it constantly against them.Mvemjsunpx wrote:One thing I've noticed is that NoCo is running the play clock all the way down pretty much every play. Trying to shorten the game to stay in the game as long as possible is my guess.

Re: Montana @ UNC
Warren ridiculously wide open for a 17-yard TD on the first play of the fourth. Griz have scored TDs on all three possessions in the second half. PAT missed after a false start.

NoCo receiver fumbles (I'm not sure he had possession, but whatever). Griz ball at the 5.
5-0 turnovers.
5-0 turnovers.
