If you remember so little about FCS it's curious you're on here; I didn't notice any mention of conference shake-ups in your post.

It's fun playing for the national championship, even when you lose. But how would you know? You don't get there with 7-6 records. 14-2 and #2 in the nation is not bad for a team not even picked to win the BSC after losing 25 to graduation. I don't know any Griz fans, players or coaches hanging their heads. My money would have been on Richmond against Fresno at the end of the year.[/quote]

yeah I wouldn't know about national championship, oh wait a minute Fresno St. 2008 NCAA Baseball National Champions. Oh yeah and its much harder to win a football championship when you play at the highest level and they don't have playoffs. By the way I was at the last game between Montana and Fresno St. 52-37 Fresno won. Talk to me about your titles when you beat us. Otherwise leave the Fresno bashing to Boise St. fans who can actually lay claim to kicking our ass.
I'd take that bet vs Richmond

ps if you fucking scroll up pg 1, I talked about AEC football in a split with the CAA.

Interesting point.

America East has one team south of New England/New York - UMBC:

America East
Vermont
Binghamton
Boston U.
Stony Brook
New Hampshire
UMBC
Albany
Maine
Hartford

CAA has two teams in NY/NE: Hofstra and Northeastern, after that Drexel and Delaware are the northern outposts

Colonial Athletic
VCU
George Mason
Old Dominion
Northeastern
Hofstra

Drexel
James Madison
Georgia St
Delaware
Towson
William & Mary
N.C. Wilmington
America east, a real power house, right up there with the mighty NEC.

Myopia - also called near- or short-sightedness, is a refractive defect of the eye in which collimated light produces image focus in front of the retina when accommodation is relaxed. Those with myopia see nearby objects clearly but distant objects appear blurred. As relates too discussions of college sports this frequently called Syntaxia or Txterrorism...

ya see... it turns out that an alarming number of things that AREN'T about football... in fact... ARE about football. Conference shakeups... chief among them.

but hey... if you want to breakdown ASU's third quarter in their playoff loss 5 months ago... feel free to start a thread. However... CS has always been the delightful home of fans who are capable of seeing the forest for the trees... rather than writing 10,000 words about the bark.

That.... is one helluva post, sir. Reps.

The Hofstra/AE issue has been a thing with fans for some time as the CAA just hasn't been ideal. Throw in all the travel costs. And in a couple years football will be at 14 with only 6 of those schools in the northeast.

I was recently thinking about the Hofstra situation and wondering about Northeastern as well. Despite a good hoops season, that move was a bust...and the CAA has no need for them now with ODU and GState playing football. NU and Hofstra could defect and the CAA still would have 7 schools for all-sports.
