Be sure you tell that to Chris Stevens' family. :ohno:
Sure thing, right after you apologize to the families of the thousands of soldiers who died needlessly so W and Cheney could show the world how big our dick is.

After four years, does Obama own ANY of those decisions?
What decisions?

We're still in Afghanistan. Obama swapped US troops bound by the UCMJ for lawless mercenaries in Iraq. Obama continued the patriot act, has killed US citizens without due process, continues drone attacks in Yemen, Pakistan, etc. Sounds like Neo-Con and Obama foreign policy is the same.
And I would argue that your first two sentences would not have happened if the neocons never came to power. The patriot act is unforgivable, and the US citizen thing should have been handled differently. And drone attacks are fine by me. They are much better than unilateral action on occupying foreign soil. You are naive if you think neocons and obama have the same foreign policy. :suspicious:

If you wish...let's start with the Iraq War. Has Obama invaded and occupied a country that had nothing to do with 9/11? The illegal war that killed 4477 Americans, 4805 Coalition troops in total, has also killed over 100,000 Iraqi civilians. Couple that with an $800 billion plus pricetag and Iraq's government moving closer to Iran, sounds like Bush and cronies did one hell of a job! To top it off, still haven't found those WMDs baldy. Could you please direct the US military to where they are? :?

And you want to compare the neocon's foreign policy to Obama's? This is only the worst thing Bush did. I could go into human rights violations, the refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocol, War in Afghanistan, and how a neocon's foreign policy threatens American freedom here at home. :coffee:

I'll take drone attacks that don't put American lives at risk, and are very effective at eliminating terrorists, over full-scale ground wars that aren't really about hunting terrorists.

Drones are a smarter way to wage war, but the problem is, it's still war. Why do we have drones bombing people in Yemen and Pakistan? Guy sure is earning his "peace prize"

National security, or so they tell us. I'm sure spandex has a more plausible explanation, though. :coffee:

The bottom line is this: I'd rather be feared than respected when it comes to national security. I don't see how anybody can argue that either is true currently.

I'll argue it. I think we are feared. Other countries don't fuck with us, and the terrorists that try to fuck with us hide in caves.

We may not be respected, but we are feared.

Obama thought he won the debate

It's a UK paper that leans a bit conservative, FWIW. Not owned by Fox/Murdoch.
