Of course you can legislate patriotism. Haven't you heard of the Patriot Act. If you're against greater and unconstitutional government surveillance powers and the annihilation of due process, then you aren't a patriot. Maybe you need to be re-educated. FEMA has set up facilities just for that purpose.89Hen wrote:BTW, can somebody please explain to me the term "economic patriotism" in a way that doesn't sound like Obama thinks it's OK to legislate patriotism. Obama Pushes Wealth Redistribution During Closing Statement: “Everybody’s Getting A Fair Share”…
In President Obama’s closing statement at last night’s debate, he seemed to make a remarkable slip. “All those things are designed to make sure that the American people, their genius, their grit, their determination, is — is channeled and — and they have an opportunity to succeed. And everybody’s getting a fair shot. And everybody’s getting a fair share,” Obama said, before quickly correcting himself and adding.
“Everybody’s doing a fair share, and everybody’s playing by the same rules,” he added.

The American people still have to vote and we've all seen what that's like
What we're really talking about is that 5% maybe 8% in the middle who don't want to vote for either one of these guys
What will they do with their vote - Gary Johnson is the key really
Can either one of these guys convince that voter to NOT vote for Johnson..?
I heard WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to many times yesterday "We have common ground here" or "we agree on this point" or "I agree with the governor" or "I like what the President did here"...![]()

Re: Obama vs. Romney Official Game Thread.
Not a surprise. Obama's record on the economy is indefensible. Get him out of the echo chamber and challenge him on his actions over the last 4 years face to face and he'll fold like origami. Like he did last night.
Don't think it changes much though, but it is refreshing to see him without his sycophantic handlers and the TelePrompTer. Guess he's just a man, after all.

I suppose one could argue that Reagan wasn't a neocon (and as Bush sullied the neocon name... most Reaganophiles try to take the label away from Reagan). But, neocons had a large influence on his foreign policy and I would consider him the first neocon president.
There were also plenty of embassy attacks under the Bushes.

I'm not voting for him either but I have a question. How much better do you think the economy would have been under McCain? If it had been similar, would you be voting for a democratic candidate now?ASUG8 wrote:I've been asking one of you Obamos to give me a solid case for another 4 yrs, and all I hear is crickets......Grizalltheway wrote:
